well, they've done it i guess. they've moved on and are now playing to a bunch of frat boy assholes. congratulations.

They did.

I don't even know how you set the bar there but they did.

I don't even know how you are supposed to enjoy their current music in a live scenario.

Very Desert Sessions in sound.

I've listened to this album pretty much every day since it was posted 2 weeks ago. I thought maybe it was a little too much of a Queens ripoff at first but the songwriting is so good it really comes into it's own.

Seriously thanks for this. I would have never imagined it would be as good as it is, but I hope these guys keep putting out albums, be they Simpons themed or not.

How are Boris live? I like some of their doom/drone/sludge stuff but not a fan of pop or shoegaze. Still worth seeing? Anyone know what they're playing on this tour?

a bit left field, but here's something between the buzzcocks, pissed jeans and harvey milk. so, plenty of sludgey riffs but none of the mind numbing amplifier worship that plagues most stoner/doom/sludge bands nowadays.

Goddamn this owned. I enjoyed Subrosa too, even though I'm pretty lukewarm on their recorded stuff.

But the best part was the little old lady standing by me, rocking the hell out all night, front and center

It's OK and it's recognisably the same band, but it's no Our Problem. Leans a lot more towards the hardcore/punk/grind side of sludge than the doomy groove they had before.

it sounds like their first album except with worse riffs. which makes sense because they both played on it, while only one of them played on our problem.

Yeah I'm good on that stuff that was seriously my poo poo when it was coming out, I just don't keep up with newer stuff like that, stupidly assuming all the great records came out like 20 years ago. If you've got some mindblowing current punk sludge I'm all ears :allears:

sadly there's not much if none at all. a buncha weedeater or bongzilla rip offs from eastern europe, but you've heard those riffs a million times. it's all stoner metal now and it bores me to death.

this thing i posted a few messages back is legit, it's punk (not hardcore tho) and it's got some real sludgey riffs thrown in:

https://boxrecordsshop.bandcamp.com/album/what-big-eyes-2

salome's last album, terminal is like, melvins riffs with superb grindcore vox:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDWNybkBtBY

oh and there's the disease concept, featuring a buncha guys from a buncha great bands (sollubi, rue, solace, blood farmers, loving trouble!) that's p good stuff.

the lp is better but it's not available online
