ATTENTION KIRA: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

WE ARE TAKING A BREAK TODAY FROM CREATING A SPOTLIGHT ON SOMEONE TO BRING YOU A NEW SEGMENT FOR OUR SHOW. FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, WE BRING YOU LETTERS TO KIRA, ADDRESSED DIRECTLY TO YOU. WE HOPE THESE BRING YOU JOY

Dearest Kira, dearest God.

Before you came, our family had been struck by a constant fear in our lives, that surrounded us in our neighborhood. I've always wanted to rid myself and my family of this fear. Fear has gripped us for so long that we wouldn't go out anymore, could barely keep the kitchen stocked, and spent far too long worrying about life in general.

Ivory wings descended from heaven and delivered us when you first announced yourself to the world. So many lives saved as you judged the kicked around us, cleaning out the trash that surrounded all the righteous.

All praises to Kira!

Courage to bring people to justice! Overt, direct action by the being who was so silent for so long, who couldn't stand by and watch his creations suffer any longer. Praise!

WE HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS LETTER, KIRA.

CATCH YOU NEXT TIME!

How about we break the ice, then?

Death Shot might be a popular show and all - Kira certainly does have their fair share of followers - but the reality that Kira doesn't want people to realise is that far more people oppose them. Far more people are only going along with the praise of Kira out of fear. Fear that if they ever appear to have done anything wrong, or aren't seen going along in lockstep with the Two Minute Hate against all the evil criminals, Kira may punish them next for their disobedience, whether real or merely perceived.

Since Kira's followers have so foolishly called for a public bounty on my head though, I no longer need to give a poo poo about keeping my head down and can speak to you all openly. :buddy:

I'll be brainstorming some strategy soon that we can hopefully use to coordinate our efforts, but first I have something personal I'd like to say.

Kira probably likes to think of themselves as some kind of divine, enlightened being, but the truth is they're just another one of the sheeple. If Kira truly had the genius to re-imagine the world, why do they focus so much on punishing average criminals that are already targeted by our mere mortal justice system? Ok so we don't manage them all or find all the guilty ones guilty, and now Kira's mopping up the ones who fall through the cracks, but he's also throwing out more innocents along with that bathwater. Great job just ramping the existing status quo up to 11 and making everything nice and oppressive, bud.

If Kira truly wanted to re-create the world, why not focus on the 1% at the top who don't even need to get their hands dirty, instead of the desperate masses driven to crime? Why not make the ones running this world the ones to live in fear? Maybe if Kira had brought us things like universal basic income instead of just increasing the death penalty en masse, we'd have a truly amazing world to live in. A world where people would be freed from the need to work for whatever dodgy employer is the first to promise them the means of subsistence. A world where people would be free to stand up against corruption without fear of losing their livelihoods. A world where people could take the time to study and take chances and create great things to improve the quality of life for all humankind, instead of settling for whatever is dependable and safe to earn a living. A world where people no longer had to find scapegoats among their fellow man to point the finger at for taking their jobs.

Do something like that, Kira, and I will become your greatest follower. But you don't have the chops. You're probably just some edgy teenager in his mom's basement turning himself into the world's greatest Gary Stu. And one day, if you live long enough that is, you'll look back like every adult does, and wish you could erase all your teenage foolishness so no one could ever see what a goddamn idiot you were.

Too bad yours is being broadcast across the world! So long!

Hello, fellow members of the resistance! Let's do our best to make this first night as fruitful as possible with our investigations. I'm sure all of us have different capabilities of what sort of actions we have available to us. But some will be more useful than others. So please don't waste all our time by picking a lovely one. If you didn't feel like reading my ideological rant, please read this one instead cause it's time to get down to business.

I believe that observing an AREA may prove to be far more useful than observing any one specific person. If you have any such ability, please do this tonight. But some people who make a more professional career out of all this may have more specialised investigation abilities. If you have such an ability, please make your own private judgement call on whether this is more useful than area observation.

I imagine most people interested in continuing the Kira investigation have at least some rudimentary ability to observe people, through either watching or tracking. I suspect that watching will be more useful than tracking overall. People are going to be running around all over willy-nilly doing night actions, so tracking to see where someone ends up gives very little information by itself. It probably won't even indicate anything about their alignment either. And most of all, this information should already be covered by anyone capable of observing a whole area. Watching, however, may reveal something more interesting, by seeing who chooses to actually act upon another person.

One other good possible action to make tonight, if you don't really have any good suspicions on who to watch, may be to COLLECT from an area. Go observe what is there, and pick up whatever you can find, ESPECIALLY if it is written material. I think this could be even more useful than tracking.

Overall, I think the main goals for all of us should be:

- Determine who in your family is dependable and trustworthy. This may allow us to then choose representatives to coordinate more openly between families. Most of all, keep track of who gets their hands on anything to read. To continue on that note...

- Determine what, if any, means Kira has to communicate with their followers. If Kira has no direct contact with them, they may need to resort to things like dropping notes to feed Kira the information he needs to kill. If we can get that more locked down and they have to resort to communicating through this public channel, it will be that much easier for us to spot them. And then finally...

- Determine what areas are valuable to Kira for their own direct information gathering.

tl;dr:
Tracking is for losers with nothing better to do, at least for tonight. Maybe COLLECTing stuff would be better if you're really starved for a good action.
Observing an AREA rather than one person is awesome, please do this if you can
Please speak up if you have any other ideas, or would like to debate the conclusions I've drawn so far.
