As the sun began to peek out over the horizon, the sound of the dogs baying in the woods grew louder. Eventually, everyone had woken up, no longer able to ignore the intrusion of strange dogs yelling in the distance. A few people stood out in the main town square, wondering what they should do. As everyone else in town rubbed their eyes, a few people ventured out into the woods, to see what all the commotion was. The chorus of dogs barking grew louder and louder as they approached a well known but little used clearing in the northern woods. There, in the center of the field, hung the limp, lifeless body of their beloved matriarch, her family set in place by the Arrentish government years ago when they were first incorporated. There was no where in the surrounding valley to run, and the footsteps under the body lead in a long, circuitous path, back to town. Following the trail, the group came across an abandoned camp site. Cloaks and supplies strewn about, and a campfire extinguished, it had been abandoned. A storm had been brewing all week, and with the blizzard raging just outside of town, there was no possible place for someone to run and survive. There was only one conclusion, the people that had come to town and committed this violence were among them, and they would have to enact the one part of Arrentish culture they never wished to see. peramene, Town Matriarch, Cudłaty Aligned, was found hanging from the elder tree N0 It is now Day 1. Deadline is Sunday, October 22nd, 11PM EST (subject to change based on how people feel, I know we’re on a weekend.
