So there's this game you probably? haven't heard of called Tower Unite. It's a game where you get to decorate your own virtual house. And more importantly, visit the homes of random internet strangers, safari style. In this thread I'm gonna post dumb screenshots of strange poo poo I've seen, hopefully a new update every week or so. I try to only post screenshots of stuff I actually thought was somehow funny or particularly bizarre, like yeah almost every house has anime porno on the wall but not every one is an elaborate custom built porno museum, I'd rather post the latter. Here is a link to my previous posts in the Games Screenshots thread where I've posted stuff from this game before. If you have the game and would like to post your findings as well, please do!  So what is this game even about? You might ask. Well the short summary is that it's kind of an online hangout game. There are several minigames to play (bowling, golf, laser tag, etc), all of which can be played with others. Playing these games gives you in game currency, which you can then spend on things like your character's appearance or more importantly, things to decorate your condo with. Every piece of furniture you see in these screenshots had to be bought at an in-game store with earned money and manually placed in these houses. For the record, there are no micro transactions or anything like that, it's all just in-game currency. This game started life as Gmod Tower, a mod for Garry's Mod. Tower Unite is a standalone commercial product, I believe by the same developers as Gmod Tower. Apparently it can be played with up to 16 players at once, and everyone golfs at the same time so there's no waiting around forever per shot. Virus is a FPS mode where one person becomes a zombie and must try to touch the other players to spread the infection while the others try to kill them to stay uninfected. Round is over when everyone is infected or a time limit runs out. It's still a bit unpolished but it is pretty drat fun regardless. Bowling is bowling, but you can customize your ball and stuff and recently the physics have started working a lot better than they used to and I've been getting way better scores so hell yeah. Laser Tag was added recentely, you run around in an indoor arena and try to zap each other, pretty straightforward. Better with more people. Little Crusaders is a somewhat more unique game based on a game mode from Gmod Tower that was based on Mother 3 (The Gmod Tower version had the Ultimate Chimera instead of a dragon.) You have to try and push the button on the back of a dragon to defeat it. Players take turns being the dragon or the knights trying to stop it. That game seems to have a bit of a skill ceiling I don't quite understand, because boy are other players wayyy better at it than I am. Planet Panic is kind of like a capture the flag mode but with several small orbs instead of a flag, winner is whoever gets the most at their base when the timer runs out. It's considered to be in alpha and there isn't a whole lot to the game as of now. And there are other games like Trivia, a game where you try to type words really fast, and several different casino games that you can waste hours / all your money on trying for a jackpot. And of course, several other games planned for the future that are still being worked on. Should I rush out to buy this?? I dunno. That's up to you. The game is $15 and still in early access. They do a new patch every so often once some new features are ready. I would warn that this game is like, full of furries, anime pedos, and racists. Sometimes all at once. The global chat is like almost always gonna have some edgelord droppin n-words to look tough or whatever. But hey, if you're reading this thread you read SA so, you know how the internet can be. It is also not super-mega-active as far as user counts go. Some nights there's less than a hundred people on the whole game, sometimes more like two or three hundred. Major patches usually kicks it up an extra hundred or two for the night. It's also not the best optimized game in the world, your performance will vary wildly. This has gotten much better over time with patches but it's still an issue at times (especially in houses with a LOT of items placed) If anyone has further questions about the game feel free to ask in here and I'll do my best to answer. Anyway we're here to laugh at strange houses so let's get back to some pictures. Here's a bit of a "Best Of" my previous postings.

For this post I'm gonna spotlight a pretty rad place I've only seen online a few times that always impresses me with the elaborate poo poo they've built and the neat tricks they've used to build it. First thing you see on loading it up is this spooky house     Unfortunately that part has always been under construction, I don't think they ever finished the whole inside of it. They did however add some road out front of it  Wander out past the road and you'll find this fancy cabin  These sinks always impressed me, dumb as that sounds. It's made mostly of just scaled canvas cubes, but the faucet is a showerhead and the knobs are salt and pepper shakers embedded into the cubes so only the tops show. It's neat, I dunno.   The furnace is also built from canvas cubes / cylinders, and the wood part in the foreground is normally a thing that stands vertically so they've managed to install it sideways and hide the legs.  This ladder is all canvas items put together too  And finally there's this bigass barn      Overall it seems kind of normal maybe, but considering that map is just a flat nothing space and all of that poo poo was built by hand, mostly out of primitive shapes, I think it's pretty cool.

game is actually quite fun minus the hentai hotels and dolphin sex parties. Minigolf is surprisingly solid, and for being early access there's quite a bit to do and see. Last night they patched in some event stuff, as well as a fix to "merge" all server lobbies so you can see the avatars/ghosts of other players online, even if they aren't in your server of choice. Light Gun Man is right about player-base maturity though. Outside of edgelords learning the n-word exists, you can sorta tell everyone is younger. Its more on the Facepunch side than the Something Awful side.

Halloween events were fun but kinda broken, hopefully they'll be smoothed out in the next day or two. Lots of fun new Halloween items. I got a bunch of screenshots I'll post later. This game is fun for the golfing and bowling games alone, it's a nice social hang out game where you can chill in a virtual lobby and play slots and bowling and trivia and other poo poo with a bunch of other people. Can't wait for it to become feature rich but it's pretty fun game already.

WHEEL. OF. MONEY! The casino is pretty fleshed out too. Apparently it was the way to make money, but I only got into TU after it was patched to make team games more profitable. I've spent 5-6 hours in the casino just pulling virtual levers and pressing a big red Double or Nothing button. So the game has a library of objects and you can freely spin them and intersect them with other objects? That's way better than how Second Life lets you make anything but all objects take 5 minutes to load.

Freely might be an exaggeration, there are weird rules like everything you wanna place has to like, touch something, if that makes sense? You can put stuff on a table but not just floating in mid air. Unless you build it over to where you want with a chain of objects and then remove the chain. The next update is supposed to include new tools for decorating that let you do stuff like scaling and copy/paste settings across objects so that's legit kinda exciting to me. Anyway, Halloween update stuff! This is the first implementation of a new "lobby events" system, supposedly there will always be one of these events happening year round, Halloween just happened to be first. here's a lovely overhead view of the main lobby fountain, which is now a blood fountain, and contains a very hungry and demanding cauldron.   The ocean, too, is blood.  They also added a new thing where you can see players from other servers on all servers, currently as little pac-man ghosts  There's an event where graves rise up on the beach and you click on them to get FORGOTTEN REMAINS, which you then feed to the cauldron, and it gives you a random Halloween item. Alternatively, there's another event where one of four characters will spawn somewhere in the lobby map and you can trick or treat with them to get an item. Here they are:      Obviously the best Halloween item is the Spooky Gun which is like the confetti gun but it blows out ghosts and candycorn.  Some others are throwable knives and cleavers which enterprising players are already finding uses for (sadly they do not intersect with players at all. Yet?)  But somehow, they work on ghosts  The eyeballs are good too, since they will track players walking by and follow them around  They also added jack o lanterns that can take a monochrome custom texture so you can do dumb poo poo like these I made  This guy has a username that starts off the same as mine so this was slightly creepy to walk in and see. I assume he's not talking about me...but how can I ever be sure??

This game has looked pretty interesting to me for a while, but I've never been quite able to tell if it has an active playerbase, so it getting goonrushed is music to my ears. I'll probably pick this up on payday.
