Which games will the XbonX be able to run at 4K60 besides that Forza racing game? It's GPU is about on par with my GTX1070 and yet it can only run older and less demanding games at 4K60.

Most current gen titles are offering 30fps capped at 4k or performance modes @ 60fps with downscaled resolutions between 900-1080, if they even offer 60fps.

I'll just wait for the PS5 then. I want a console or gaming PC that can run games at 4K60 without having to break the bank but that's probably at least three years away. I would get a GTX1080Ti but that's a $700+ video card and my six year old CPU would bottleneck it.

You can switch which console is primary online somewhere.

You'll want to factory reset the box before you give it to him. If you are online when doing that you will get prompted to remove the Home Xbox associated with that console.

Yep! It is indeed a dynamic resolution. Though I thought everybody knew that already. And not sure who the they is here. I just thought it was a neat thing to post. Supposedly it actually maintains 4k most of the time and haven't heard anything of it dipping into 1080p to do it. But I'm really awaiting a proper check from Digital Foundry or VG Tech.

DF has started its comparisons but most 4K material isn't ready yet so they're doing a lot of unpatched comparisons. Interestingly, some 360 games are getting patched to run at higher res, namely Fallout 3 and Halo 3, the latter running in 4K (which also means a 4-player split screen game has each player getting a full 1080p area to themselves). Unfortunately Just Cause 3 still drops into the 20-odd FPS range, there is no taming that beast. One of the few patches which landed is Quantum Break, a whopping 94.7 gig download and bringing the full game size with the cutscenes to 178 gigs.

If we're talking purely about the screen resolution the fact that it'll supersample output on a system wide level means that any benefits a 4K screen will get a 1080p tv will get as well. So the performance and image quality increases will be there. Of course HDR won't be so that's another thing to consider.
