He went several innings though which helped keep relievers fresh for tonight so ultimately you could say he helped quite a bit more than many realized.

Yeah, people are kind of acting like Verlander sucked yesterday. He threw 6 innings with 2 ER, 3 Hs, 0 BBs, and 9 Ks. That's not exactly a bad outing by any metric unless you're gonna kill him for not going 7. You just can't win without runs.
