In your head is this a devastating takedown of the comic or are you genuinely befuddled that people might laugh at something you don't personally enjoy

I don't find their antics relatable, but I often laugh at the laconic dialogue combined with the simplistic (but effective) and, occasionally, the really bizarre situations they get up to.

The comic where they get jobs and werewolf Jones carves into the forever 21 next door screaming "we're gonna be 21...forever!" never fails to make me laugh

I can see myself in the characters when they're just getting high and being pieces of poo poo in a run down house, because that was literally me and some friends for a few years. And then the more insane antics are like icing on that nostalgia cake.

I like MMO but

a) they're loving long so you either have to write off a good part of your day to read them or scroll past what feels like a city block's worth of comic

b) they're depressing and

3) every time one is posted this place derails like a motherfucker.

On the other hand Achewood is just bad, so I'll take MMO over that any day.

The longest MMO comic takes, like, twenty minutes max.

Is MMO a webcomic or is it something that you're supposed to buy cuz I've never seen a place that has them all in one place.

Also I took this pic for some friends so you can have it too because it's a comic:

I have several comic book sized '....books of the Freak Brothers stashed....somewhere. They were my fathers.

Not that different from looking at the comic books, I mean MM+O, Clementine, literally everything else

but yeah the world was different. "Underground" comics are weird, sometimes theres stuff that you can tell is supposed to be transgressive and edgy but its not really, and then a drat lot of the time theres stuff thats supposed to just be a lil sidejoke but its weird and hosed up

also, nice. my dad has so many weird 1970s comic books that i read as a 10 year old and probably messed me up big time

same also, but there's a catharsis to it (at least for me).

He plays for the dreamers that forgot how to dream, and the lovers that forgot how to love.
Finally got around to watching the Nasty music video, cause I'd never actually heard the song that comic is referring to, and I like how it combines classic Jackson moves with Ballet, like a couple of times background dancers are introduced, will do a full pirrouette and end by "snapping" into a Jackson-esque position. Or one guy shortly after at 1:52 who Grand Jetés (? I think, after looking up ballet terms and comparing to youtube vids of them, that's what he was doing but I may be wrong) into a position behind Janet Jackson then starts joining her sexy dance.

He seems like a pretty cool guy, I emailed him that AUG picture with all of the mugshots of heinous people with heinous haircuts and told him it reminded me of deathbulge, and said thanks for all the great content. He responded in person, said thanks for the inspiration and he appreciates the thank you, obviously a real personal response and not some pre written form letter. He says on his website that it might take a while, but he will respond, and I think it's super cool that he actually did.
