Yo, I forgot it was CPT Latin America Finals that handed out the stone, hopefully Linj gets to use the BRHUE stone to gently caress someone over this time - he qualified for that UMVC3 event but got bodied by the embassy.

In Smash Brothers you can alter space and reality by banning whatever stage you choose after you win a game.

Mind, Reality, and Power Stone are just "instantly win 1 round but with an execution requirement" Time and Soul Stone are a 1-time negation to all the instant kill stones Space Stone just lets you be a top player for a minute They don't sound particularly interesting except for the parts where people gently caress up an instant kill stone

Yeah, this might be a bit of a (glorious) poo poo show. I'm imaging players trying to map punch buttons on the touch pad or swapping the start button to square or some poo poo.

So after 10+ years of being poor/busy as poo poo, I finally got my hands on a PS3. How is the online scene of UMvC3 and JoJo's All-Star battle? Marvel's is still busier than on the PC, right?

Speaking of bad news, MvCI shipped only 900k according to Capcom: https://gematsu.com/2017/11/marvel-vs-capcom-infinite-worldwide-shipments-top-900000 Capcom's target was 2 million sold by the end of the fiscal year, which was pretty unrealistic considering even SFV couldn't manage it.

the same fiscal stuff described USFII as a "smash hit" for Capcom. I don't understand how the world works

Street Fighter II is a game people like on a new console that had a smaller storefront to compete on, plus it probably cost nothing to make and was sold at a criminal price so I'm not surprised

The price is why I'm surprised it sold so much, tbh.

TFRazorsaw posted:Is that even really a thing? The first few months of every console launch are slow. It's definitely a thing, it's why companies like Tecmo Koei always have launch window titles for every system and why so many launch titles feel lacking in terms of content/polish. Getting the game out there while there is little to spend your money on means a higher chance of a sale. I think Super Bomberman R had done half a million back in April, and was the best selling game in the series in Japan since 1998. Blaster Master Zero has gotten around 110,000 downloads as of the beginning of October. Both of these are games that would not have sold nearly this much had they been launched on Steam/PS4.
