It's a workplace comedy where all of the important characters have very high opinions of one another, and are all very good at their jobs, so the jokes mostly come from them actually having fun like real friends instead of being sarcastic antagonists like most other sitcoms. The only characters that get consistently dunked on are also broadly happy with their lives, and are supportive best friends with each other, so it never feels hateful or anything. It's a show I did not expect to like, but ended up loving almost entirely because of Andre Braugher.

They're good as a side dish for something like pizza, where there's already an assumption that one will be getting greasy and/or sloppy, and the addition of yet more grease/slop would hardly be noticed. But they are unsuitable for pasta meals, IMO.
