they changed a bunch of things like the home button and swipe gestures for the iphone x and my reptilian brain is afraid of change (really, it'll probably take a day or two at the most to acclimate to most of it) so i thought the home button hack was a neat idea until i read that article and it pointed out that it hid the dock

my fav ios 11 bug is how it silently stops syncing your facebook calendar if you had set it up back when your fb account was in the settings in earlier ios versions. the caldav subscription thing is still in ical but it doesnt do anything so you have to trick facebook into showing the desktop site so you can hunt down the link to import it again manually and then the new one works.
