If Ferguson takes him down/gets out of the first two rounds he probably wins. Or McGregor will finish him early because he gets hit clean at the beginning of all his fights.

Yeah, that's about the long and short of it. Tony's going to have trouble for two rounds and then Conor will for the final three if it makes it that far. Worth noting though that Tony gets hit and dropped but doesn't seem to got to sleep and recovers well so he has that going for him even if Conor cracks him, though Conor probably hits the hardest of any of Ferguson's opponents.

Conor needs to approach the fight the same way he did in the Nate rematch: land enough to win rounds, don't jump on a black belt even if you knock him down, and conserve enough energy so you can be defensive for the last 2 rounds. Then just hope the judges award you a narrow unanimous/split decision. Then never agree to fight Tony Ferguson again.

Yeah pretty much my take. If Tony gets out of the first 2 rounds it could be very interesting but I really don't k ow if he does. The dude keeps his chin up in the air and doesn't really move his head at all. Doesn't have particularly fast hands either.

I'm all aboard the GSP vs Conor stupid super fight, but I do see the logic in doing Conor vs Ferguson and Woodley vs GSP first before that match. Both of those matches are dangerous but winnable for Conor and GSP. The Nate trilogy fight feels to me the most that can happen at anytime and be a huge fight, so if UFC is smart they keep that one on the back burner for when they really need it.
