Hakkesshu posted:

The entirety of Louie is overtly about how much he sucks and how insecure he is in himself. Sometimes I wonder how someone so introspective will just randomly whip out their dick, but that's celebrities I guess.

It never made any sense to me either, but there seemed to be so many incidents that it had to be true. Like you wouldn't think the guy whose entire thing is self deprecation would be the one always whipping his dick out but yeah I guess fame can bring out the worst in people.

People thought it was Doug Stanhope or something for a while and also assumed it concerned Garfunkel + Oates, it was all over the place but man that confirmation in the story about an incident from the Cox and Arquette is a really big nail in the coffin, along with all his other weepy texts and calls for forgiveness. I'm 100% okay with this as long as Rian Johnson is at the wheel and not Ron Howard or Colin Trevorrow.

A big part of the reason people thought it was Stanhope is that Stanhope has 100% done as much if not worse.

I can get behind this because my biggest issue with TFA was shifting focus from the new characters to legacy ones for half of the movie (Yet conversely I'm most excited about TLJ for finding out what happened with Luke.)

Disney also announced the live action Star Wars TV series is a go, and it's going to be on the Disney streaming service (As well as a Monsters, Inc. series, and the next iteration of High School Musical.)

Why? For the most part George Lucas is a poor writer and director, but he's a wonderful producer. Getting talented people to make interesting and unique things is how he built the foundations of modern entertainment media. Young Indiana Jones and (most of) Clone Wars shows that he's highly capable of producing great, groundbreaking television.

I'd rather have an interesting TV show that has some rough, weird edges than the sort of milquetoast retread stuff that Disney is putting out. Just compare the uneven-but-great Clone Wars to the truly awful Rebels to see the difference of his guiding hand. Don't write off the man's entire career just because you feel betrayed by a few bad but boundary pushing movies at the end of it.

I didn't like either the Clone Wars or Rebels, but in any case I would rather they follow the lead of Rian Johnson doing a whole new story in a different galaxy. I don't want anything even tangentially connected to Skywalker.

Watching you sleep.

Butt first, let's
check the feeds.

I appreciate that the goal is to make the Star Wars universe too big and untenable for me to ever feel like i have to rewatch the whole thing when I feel like watching a movie.

Because like "I guess I'll rewatch the trilogy" was fine and "I guess I'll watch both trilogies" was manageable but its already getting a bit too big for my "I guess I'll watch... nine movies? And a couple of cartoons? How many seasons?" feeling. Please finish crushing my "completist" instinct, Star Wars. Its a burden.

It's premise is a poor ANH retread of the gang on the Falcon, all the characters are unlikeable and bland, all the characters make constant illogical choices for plot purposes, its writing is dumbed down and aimed at children. Also they incorporate tons of old EU-style nonsense like

I've tried watching is a handful of times, but the only time I enjoyed it was when I checked in for the second season finale.

It's not awful like, say, Inhumans is awful, but I found it dreadfully mediocre. That, and I don't like most of the character designs, the art style, and -- I get that this is petty -- I find the super thin lightsabers really distracting.
