I get why. The mask was a hindrance and she really hasn't done too much with it.

The cast this season is legit though. I want to see Erika go more hard horror with her anime aesthetic. I think she could do some sick poo poo.

I'd have loved to see her take off her mask, and reveal maggots have eaten her skin away. Or another mask underneath lol

Yeah, either of those would have been awesome. Too bad she didn't do it. I did really like how her mask gave off a luchador vibe though.

I was getting terra cotta from the combination of the mask itself and the flower pot looking buckets, so I thought it would have been cool if she did like a buried alive plant hybrid or something with like, roots and worms and dirt coming out of the mouth and eye holes. That would have been cool and original, and at least changed up the silhouette a bit. I was surprised that she of all people tried to come for bitch pudding's reuse of latex. She had a point but if your masks all look the exact same it is functionally no different from using the same exact materials TBH.

Abhora is still my favorite, that cartoon demon was genius and genuinely creepy. Flawless execution. I love her looks so much. I'm thinking it's her, Dahli, and Victoria for top three.

Wait question. So in the opening of the most recent Dragula episode, why did they dig up that otter and who was he? I feel like I recognized him? Are we supposed to know him?

He was one of the RPDR Pit Crew for a few seasons (his name is Shawn Morales).

Disasterina losing her poo poo during the extermination still makes me laugh, I like her a lot.

Also, a video with Kendra Onixx talking about the stories behind each queen's character:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fc91mFwp_14

I get why Dragula doesn't do main challenge voiceovers like Drag Race does (it's more dramatic and challenge-wise it matters more if you can show and not tell anyway), but I like hearing about it in videos like these because I think they're interesting.

I liked the challenge but wow some of those queens really missed the mark on glam rock/hair metal.
I'd rather do the needle challenge from episode 1 than get an intentionally bad tattoo for a TV show.
And goodbye to Kendra, who I'll miss but was absolutely the right person to send home. The reality TV gods do not smile upon "I haven't done well yet, but this is my strength and I have this challenge in the bag."

Went with some friends to the Very Drag Christmas Tour in OKC last night. Lineup was Trinity Taylor hosting, with Eureka, Chi Chi, Farrah, Aja, Latrice, Kim Chi, and Sasha. Trinity was really great as the host with plenty of good crowd work. Aja was someone I wasn't ever blown away by in Season 9 but she was a highlight of the show with both of her performances being fantastic. Latrice was great also and got a huge round of applause from the crowd. My wife and I got a "Jesus is a biscuit, let him sop you up" towel. :) Sasha was great, Chi Chi put on a great loving show. I enjoyed pretty much all of it. Main bummer was that Shea was on the poster for the OKC show but ended up not being there last night.

For me, one of the things this show highlights is how some queens are better off with a lot of preparation, while others can come up with something impressive with very little prep time on Drag Race. Aja's performances last night were something else, and I'm looking forward to seeing if she can channel that energy and stand out in All Stars 3.

That was a fetish I was not aware of until I went to MidAtlanic Leather last year for the first time. I noticed the really strong BO, and I asked my friends about it. They said in anticipation of the event, a lot of guys won't shower for a week or two to build up a strong funk.

Where do they do big drag shows in OKC? I assume a show with that many stars isn't going on at The Boom.

It was at the Hudiburg Chevrolet Center at Rose State College in Midwest City. Sounds like they'd done it there before because Trinity recognized an old lady from last year she had deemed "The Anal Queen".

Well that was loving disgusting!

Erika deserved to stay after that performance, but jeez she's frustrating me. Do Parasyte or Junji Ito or gross tentacle poo poo or something! Something! Though admittedly it is kind of funny that she's the equivalent to Drag Race's lip sync assassins, but with blood and vomit.

I really like Erika. I think she is my favorite queen this season. She just isn't brining hard horror to her looks and it's a shame, as she has the skill to do outstanding looks. I don't want to see her cut, but I'm afraid her time on the show isn't going to be for much longer.

The good thing about Erika is she’s young and VERY open to criticism. She’s not super polished yet but I think next week is going to surprise us. I hope I’m right because she’s so much fun

This is true. Her personality has been a good contrast the sea of drama this season. The other queens tend to be really cool to her too, which I like.

I finally binged season 1 and caught up on season 2 the last two nights! I really enjoy the cheesy camp the brothers bring to their parts and can't help but laugh at all the inserted movie quotes and song lyrics. Anyhow, here's a giant wall of spoilers and dumb feelings about the recent season.

I'm pissed that Dahli went home. Erika has been bottom three times. She's missed the mark every time. I get that she has her niche, anime, but it's not translating to Dragula. She's nice, but she ain't no Super Monster. Dhali's looks have been super good to me, certainly better than Erika's. I am mad at this decision. Just because you puked and ate it doesn't forgive the fact you have no loving idea what the gently caress you're doing out there!

I also really like Biqtch Pudding now. She stumbled loving hard the first two times but she pulled her poo poo together. She has the best look of the alien challenge. I dug James look, but Pudding was just so much more glamour. But then I guess James was more filth and horror. So okay.

Disastarina is hilarious to me. I cracked up at her alien and loved how campy and like cheap Ed Wood style it was. She's a glorious mess.

I'm am so done with Abhora's drama train. Like Drac said, you need to get over it and find a say to work with someone you don't like.

And finally, every time Israel is on screen I feel like I have to ask my husband to forgive me for cheating. Good God drat that man is loving hot!
