There's two lineages, one that's smaller and smooth coated, and another that's larger with fluffier fur. The bigger line came from dogs that were imported to the US and bred for work on cattle ranches in the upper midwest and rockies.

i lost my security deposit in the first place i lived in when moving to VA because Monty ate the wall  luckily he doesn't do that anymore and if anything, i'm the reason we won't be getting the security deposit back this time because i've put so many holes in the walls you would think my PTSD was making me recreate a war zone.

My cat is fine. The longer we get from when my other cat died (september), the better she's doing with Frank. They piled up on each other on the drives to/from family thanksgiving, Frank defended her when my mother's dog (Max) got too close for comfort, they shared food/water bowls with no fights. I miss the hell out of Bo, but we're getting along well in his absence. Great dog and cat combo going right now.

I don't have pictures, but: today I got myself a new pillow for my bed. Swapped cases, got into bed, liked it... Apollo hopped up, went "what is that" and stood on the new pillow while sniffing it. While I was resting on it. He didn't step on me, but like, whoa buddy. It must've passed his test though, as he's now curled up in his usual spot.
