rootless is misnomer. what it actually means is that the root privilege level is no longer equal to kernel privilege level. that is, root (sudo, whatever) can administer the system, but they can't damage the kernel integrity anymore (by loading random drivers, scribbling memory, deleting system files).

so how can I do that kind of stuff now? or do we just live in a world that hates liberty (free as in freedom not beer) now

yo check your credit card benefits. if you have a nice card it probably has price protection.

it usually doesn't cover if the lower price is a "cyber monday" type deal but should cover you if the higher price is.

Mac exploits have very little market value. iOS exploits can sell for literally millions of dollars. that's why there's no macos bounty
