Any good recommendations for a lap desk? Wanna lay in my rack and play games on my laptop on my upcoming boat deployment. I’ll probably grab a trackball mouse too. Apparently they make some that aren’t those monsters with the red ball, got some good recommendations on a few from the steam thread

If anyone else here likes to play Diablo type games as a time waster, I have to suggest Grim Dawn. It's more Diablo 2 than 3, and pretty well done honestly. It's like more of a 18th Century US setting so its kinda neat.

Path of Exile is also very very good and gets yet another major expansion + new season this coming Friday. Don't let the free to play scare you, it's just cosmetics and quality of life stuff, nothing gameplay wise.

For some reason I've ended up with a Nintendo 3DS. This is the first time in a decade or so I've owned a Nintendo system. I'm completely unfamiliar with the thing. What are some decent games for it, Mario and Zelda are safe bets I assume?

You know what, Far Cry 2 with updated graphics + slight tweaks to the game plot would make a fine Far Cry 5. Replace Africa with Montana. Replace the Jackal and the warring factions with a neo-nazi Pagan Min clone & sovereign citizen factions fighting over water rights or cattle, etc. Replace malaria shots/malaria with crystal meth/meth addiction. Keep the diamond caches but maybe add gold bullion to the stashes. Sub-license out the Redneck Rampage games, and make them hidden within Far Cry 5 like Maniac Mansion or Frog Fractions 2.

Far Cry 2 is also the game where you would pass through endless respawning checkpoints of 4 dudes, to get to your next meaningless fetch quest. Any time you got into a scripted event, it involved someone popping out from around a corner and knocking you out. Weak, dude.

2nd and last DLC should be dropping this month for BOTW. I played it for a week straight and haven’t touched it since. Pretty fun game all told. Jumping back into it will be fresh ‘n new. One of the patches added that feature that puts footprints in areas you’ve already explored on the map?

Picked up Bomber Crew. After losing my super upgraded bomber due to loving up an emergency landing because goddamn forests are everywhere, I've basically resorted to sending out barely equipped scrubs out on missions to slowly grind money up. Feels like I'm repeating history

If you like strategy games, the first Fire Emblem game isn't too bad, there's a Ghost Recon game that is decent as well. If you never played the N64 Zelda games (and even if you did I'd recomend both), both got remasters on the 3DS and are really great as well. Oh and Mario Golf is pretty fun too.
