PM me or post in thread when something is missing. 2) Create Your Character Now that you have joined a clan, you can play this game and have people get loot for you (because you’re in a clan and you want people to get items for you. Yes, that’s a thing). You will start with only one subclass unlocked and will need to unlock the other two by completing quests and finding the proper artifact in the game. Artifacts drop from public events and you should start on unlocking your new subclass as soon as your artifact drops (otherwise you would lose the second artifact and need to find it again). Each subclass will be based upon one of the three elements of the Destiny world: Arc, Solar and Void. TITAN https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oZP-oOmI5c The Titan, led by Captain Stoic (Zavala or Vuvuzela), is the tank of the Destiny world. SENTINEL Defensive and support subclass based on the Void element, this is the new Titan entry for Destiny 2, supplanting the good old Defender subclass. Now the Sentinel uses a shield to smash their enemy, and can throw it, captain-america style. Highlights of the Sentinel are the returning Suppressor Grenade (look for Destiny fun Police), and Overshield (a shield which gets produced when you meele attack an enemy with your special meele charged). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wA6fXhnN4hw STRIKER Returning from vanilla destiny, the arc-based Striker is the original offensive titan subclass. The super was changed from the original since it's now a roaming super allowing you to punch more enemies. ARCSTRIDER The Arcstrider is the arc based subclass. It replaces the loved-and-hated Bladedancer (Bladecancer) subclass. The Nightstalker has nothing to do with the night or being a stalker. It’s more like Hawkeye the tethering arrow man. You can also smoke yourself into oblivion so much that you disappear. You want to have a good warlock at your side and a good player at his controls, because warlocks can do crowd control better than the other two classes. DAWNBLADE The Dawnblade kills off the Crutchsinger, the class preferred by lamers and noobs for their ability to respawn from death in raids. As a gift it brings the possibility to rain down blades of flames from the skies which is better and way less lame than a super that you hold back hold back hold back until everyone die because you did not loving do crowd control the loving battlefield OH gently caress YOU SUNSINGERS AND GOOD RIDDANCE. So Dawnblade is OP because it brought sanity back to D2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nmhr4xuVPIo VOIDWALKER The Voidwalker, aka the only good vanilla warlock subclass since Sunsingers sucked. Voidwalkers have two perks: disintegrate people with their hands and launching bombs across the battlefield, laying destruction on their path. Become Emperor Palpatine. 2.1 Life playing with controllers: You can use a controller in this game. Please put yourself on the known_controller_users.txt file so we know who you are. In the first section, you’ll go through the riveting last city where your game slows down to a crawl and you walk like a gimp. I guess your character escaped from Sunny Hills, a place where your 85 year old friends all get together to crush Euchre and bang pots and bedpans together. You’ll listen to some sick tunes. You’ll have to cross a log that I guarantee you’ll die on at least once. This sounds bad, but it’s actually great because your adrenaline will be rushing and basically, that makes anything good. Science. You’ll also visit some other fantastic lands like Earth (if you’re Will Smith, you can call it Earf), Titan (it rules, a personal fave), Io (I forget this place exists all the time, but it’s pretty sweet when I do go there) and Nessus (where the big boys play. It’s got VEX, DRUGS AND ROCK AND ROLL). After you beat the story, you’ll be at max lvl 30! YAY! Guess what? It’s not over yet. Because Asher Mir is still alive and he is a nut job. The dude is literally staring at screwdrivers and what looks to be a clock radio or something in game and he has been doing that since launch. It’s December 2017 already how long are you going to do whatever you’re doing right there? Here’s what you do next: 3.1) You play the endgame stuff and get your Light Level to 385. OK, or you can play other classes. But basically, start leveling your tail off. Here’s your guide in order to do that.  Group with people, go do public events, go play the game. 3.2) Know how this gear stuff works. If you played Destiny 1, this is 100x less complex. Let that sink in for a second. You’ve got patrols, adventures, meditations, item quests and more. For the stuff on the map… 4) PVP is called Crucible And it’s lead by the leader of Shake Shaxx and a proponent of weight loss MLM Shaxxology. His name is Lord Shaxx. He is a good dude. If he was real, you’d want to befriend this guy. PVP is 4v4 and it has regular style, competetive (sic) style, Trials of the Nine (sweaty stuff) and sometimes when the event is just right, Iron Banner, lead by wannabe Shaxx-man named Lord Saladman. He stands by a giant fire gong and somehow hasn’t burned to death. Watch your realism here, Mr. Bungie. 5) Strikes These are dungeons for 3 people. They’re a great time. There’s the easy stuff (Strikes) and there’s the harder stuff (Nightfalls). Nightfalls have extra mechanics like being timed and having to shoot anomalies for additional time or even having to change your damage type to do damage to an enemy. They change each week. There’s 7 maps (once the expansion drops…) 6) Raid It’s for 6 people. It’s a great time where you go through the lochness monster himself, the beast they call THE LEVIATHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He stands at over 1,000,000 ft tall and weighs an astonishing 800,000,000,000 pounds or kilos! They’re the same thing, I went to school in Armercaica. United States. It’s a big time commitment but it owns hard. There is also a shorter version of the raid too that launched with Curse of Osiris! 7) Cinematic and End Credits There’s a yellow icon in the top middle of the map called Cinematic. There’s also a white icon on the bottom right called Credits. Wow what incredible content. It’s the only piece of content that you can co-op in your house with more than 6 people. Grab your crew, get your brew and get crunk while you play Cinematic. 8) What Should I Know?!?!?!?! So you’ve got some questions. OK, let me go back to my newbie days when I started this game 14 hours ago. I got this fam, stay with me. I’m stuck with my light level. How do I level up quickly? Do your milestones. Check those out and turn those in when you hit a lull where you’re not going up in Light Level. Find exotics. They bump you up too. You can only wear one exotic in your weapons and one in your armor slot. Eververse? It’s a trap—you don’t need to do that. They’re your MTX. You’ll earn Bright Engrams as your XP Bar fills AFTER you hit Level 30. Eververse has some exclusive stuff though. Check it out. PVP is not fun! I have run out of content! HELP! There’s plenty of QoL changes coming. Enjoy what we got and when it’s not enjoyable, just come back ever so often. Be strong guardian. How do I talk to people? In discord. Seriously. Mr. Bungie knows that if you type in their game, you’re making a big mistake. Join the discords. Sadly, we had to do this because they did a 100 person limit on clans and they didn’t include any chat functionality. Basically, as questions come up and tips and tricks come up, the thread will be updated. Be nice, play with your friends and enjoy this new expansion and all the upcoming QoL changes. Also, a good clan leader knows his/her role and that’s to KICK and HUMILIATE any person in their clan that doesn’t have the DLC. I mean, you’re either 100% in or you’re out. You either are taking all of Leviathan or none. You’re either permanently logged in or you’re permanently logged off. You get the gist. Basically, I’m excited for tomorrow and the 12th with those QoL changes.
