I thought session password weird too and I clicked the tweet and other people had similar accounts of definitely the lock screen, in one instance having to hard reset because some game had focus and was playing sound and they couldn't log in to close it lol. Multiple people also said it happened on Ubuntu

oh well, a score for microsoft having a completely different desktop/session for the login interface, so there is no such thing as a window that can be behind it also let's at least partly blame slack since they are no doubt doing lovely stupid things because that is their app development mo

it has always been idiotic that the password entry handler runs in the user context. it was only a matter of time before this bit them in the rear end. *screensaver crashes - full access to desktop* see also springboard and the multiple password bypass bugs over the years.
