Article centers around the price Hayak had to pay to get Frida done.

Later she adds a sex scene at Harvey's behest, which she strongly implies occurred because Harvey had to sexually assault her somehow.

SO...how long are Weinstein's tentacles of influence, internationally speaking? I ask that because Salma got some really nasty attacks over the Frida movie on my country's media. From people saying she wasn't fit to the role, she was ugly looking, a terrible actress, to giving bad reviews of the movie while in production. But then out of sudden, literally from one day to the other, the same media went out to say she was the best actress ever and that was the best movie ever and couldn't stop praising her. It was a :psyduck: moment.

It’s not hard to read it as him just pre-emptively trying to exonerate himself, though. It’s hosed up; do we accept the mea culpa and believe that he honestly wants to change? It would be nice if it’s true. But it’s real easy to be cynical about it.

Oh, well, that's all water under the bridge, as I always say. Water under the bridge!

Honestly, the first thing that came to mind after reading the Spurlock thing is if he bothered to contact the women that are discussed before posting it. Because bringing up the specifics of (and dismissing) a rape allegation lobbed against yourself is all but inviting the media to track down this unnamed victim and drag her into the spotlight for a response. Likewise, it probably wouldn't be super hard to figure out who his assistant was. He's basically taken any agency away from these women to confront his actions on their terms in the midst of his massive social movement focused entirely on letting women speak freely.

What came to mind right away for me is that the specific incidents he's admitting to can't be all there is. It's a clever tactic to admit to a few things as a way to cover for the fact that the behavior was much more habitual than you're making it seem, or for things that are much worse than what you're admitting to.

Lots of people in the industry carry water for big shots in exchange for access or kickbacks. When the movie gets made and Harvey wants to make money on his investment, that's when the news gets a glow.

That's why reading Hollywood Reporter and other industry rags can be dangerous, it's a public relations battlefield used by people who are real petty and weird.

Oh, well, that's all water under the bridge, as I always say. Water under the bridge!

Thing about Terry Richardson is that his grossness actually got real press, and wasn't really covered up. I first read about that assault like, two years ago. He didn't have the influence of Weinstein to keep poo poo out of the spotlight, so it's a wonder that his rear end wasn't put in the sling earlier. Apathy I suppose. Or the simple belief that such actions didn't matter. That's one of the hardest things to rectify with all of this; the simple fact that it's becoming more and more obvious that a lot of this terrible behavior was allowed to go on because it didn't seem to matter.

When pressed about these allegations, Logan said in a telephone interview with HK01, "I definitely never forced myself on anybody, never had to force myself on anybody."

Imagine not being able to deny sexual assault allegations without turning it into a weird loving brag. Good thing it was a phone interview, or they would have seen him reaching for his high five.

No, it's just his visual design that is meant to resemble Richardson, plus the fact that Sarah Lynn once said he was a photographer in addition to that "fur" remark. The speech is just him accepting an award on behalf of Sarah Lynn since she was missing at the time for spoiler reasons.

More than possible, it seems likely. These are rich assholes with too much money and power for anybody's good with connections to just about any shady thing you could think of. I would bet this kind of thing happens all the time in Hollywood but no one talks about it because it's hard to prove and saying it out loud makes you look like a crazy person. Rose McGowan's Mossad shadow isn't the only time its been proved. John McTiernan literally did time for ordering illegal wiretaps.
