Make sure you watch the eps inbetween the movies (15 and 16 I want to say?) because they feel way more like Super's writing in general and are just good eps themselves.

With how slow it was in the anime seeing a character just pop with Beerus's level 3 had me go "oh gently caress that's brutal" Wonder if it's a OHKO like 16's grab as it would be kinda odd if it wasn't. I mean game balance yeah but still.
