can someone call up the SNL writers room and ask them to write a skit where Mario Batali apologizes for increasingly egregious instances of sexual harassment while going through a typical morning show recipe bit? bring Moynahan back to play Batali and have Cecily Strong play the host.

Scones are Good posted:If you want to read about the Fieri being afraid of gay people stuff it's in this article, attributed to David Page who was supposedly a producer for 11 seasons i would like to follow up on this because i just saw this article and it makes me feel slightly better about Guy Fieri knowing he officiated 101 simultaneous gay weddings in Florida. also it talks about his relationship with his sister who passed away around that time, who was a gay woman with a partner and son who Fieri is still close with. it's entirely possible that Guy had some lovely opinions about gay people that were slowly broken down because of his relationship with his sister, which is how quite a few people came around to believing in equality for all sexualities.

I was all ready to hate Fieri as a homophobe, until he showcased my friend's wonderful bakery-restaurant on his show this year. She is an out and proud lesbian, and she told us he was warm, friendly, polite, gracious, and professional in all his dealings with her, and that he spoke fondly of his sister with her.

DC Murderverse posted:Shane Torres has the definitive Guy Fieri opinion. "...but because he has flames on his shirt, everybody shits all over him like he's a member of Nickleback." When I lived in Baltimore, I got to know the owner of a restaurant that was on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives pretty well, because the place was literally a block and a half away from my house and I ate there every Saturday. The owner said that being on the show was huge for business and they get an uptick every time the episode re-runs, but that Fieri was also absolutely intolerable during the entire shoot, very distant and quiet and rude to the staff, turning it up for the cameras. The shoot for a five-minute segment also shut down the restaurant for an entire day.

I mean gently caress I used to think that Hans Blix was a dumbass and we had to bomb Iraq not to get rid of WMDs but just to get it over with.
