Even if everything they showed worked flawlessly from a technical standpoint (lol) the game would still be incredibly tedious and boring. Also, everything they are showing is the same regurgitated Wing Commander poo poo that Crobbles has been doing forever. His lack of imagination is embarrassing.

The constant walking through hallways was unbearable. Also, the inner thoughts. Why don't the inner thoughts and the dialogue match? Are they trying for a fidelitous experience of some kind of cognitive dysfunction? Plus, let's say I, a lady, am playing as Lieutenant Lieutenant. Why do I have a dude voice whispering in my head?

Also, why does Lieutenant Lieutenant have to sleep in a bottom bunk? I would think that once you're a Lieutenant you get better accommodations.

I absolutely love that Reddit literally can't see the big picture: it's been half a decade and they've only just barely managed to release a buggy, borderline-broken single-mission demo, and it took a one year (and one day) delay just to deliver that. Fawn over the sound design all you want, guys. Squadron 42 is going to be an abysmal failure on par with Colonial Marines, and there's no amount of belief that can save it.
