It turns out Canada's World Junior team still sucks at the shootout. Also I enjoyed the snow during this game (aside from the whole cleaning the ice for 10 minutes at a time part). Make all outdoor games be played when there's a blizzard going on.

I don't understand interrupting the 3rd period and OT to switch ends and then locking each team to one side for the shootout. Like I don't think it made a whole lot of difference aside from interrupting Canada's upcoming OT goal with 2:30 to go because the tournament is rotten, but the lack of consistency is confusing. They can't even say "it would take too long to switch ends" because they took 5 minutes in the middle of OT and 10 minutes before the shootout. rip

I thought Finland was going to upset the US (would it even be an upset? their roster might be better). Great game overall though. Russia-Sweden was great too. None of the teams feel like they're clearly better than the rest and the "weak" teams like the Slovaks and Czechs have played well, so the medal round should be interesting.
