The players there are real bad and you get the benefits of high ping with none of the drawbacks because you're likely to get first shots on everyone near you if you just look around.

There's been a few posts here mentioning that the new map comes up more frequently than the old one, perhaps that was true of test server but I'm not sure that is the case now, atleast not on OC solo-FPP. What I've found is this:

Very important question that I'm just going to test out anyway.... If you jump from the plane over a hot spot where a lot of people jump, and then pop your chute immediately so you take the slowest route down - what are the chances that you get shot out of the air? Cause that's what I want to have happen.

So, I can't stop playing this drat game. I've been managing average of 1 kill per game, with a couple of under top ten finishes that were basically just luck. I really need more practice. Are there any consistent hot zones that folks run to when they wanna get their kill on?

I should point out that some games don't really benefit from SSD as much as OS and apps do (particularly games that package and compress content well), and I remember the switch from HDD to SSD being kinda underwhelming for games actually (even World of Warcraft with all it's dynamic content barely improved - though that was back when cataclysm was latest expansion). Planetside 2 was the first game I played that really showed much difference (it used to take over a minute start from a HDD, compared to around 10 seconds from SSD).

I think maybe you're just in a lower population region and that may happen for you but not for NA

No one is saying don’t have a normal HDD as well, that’s where you install Itunes, keep your anime and pornography anthologies. Only things that benefit from SSD speed go on your expensive SSDs, which for goons is the OS and games.

The new map is great because of one reason: the winchester. Play rounds using only the winchester and a crossbow if you can find it are super fun. bonus points if you only use the two seat bike for some sweet off road chases.

I never got the solo vs squads thing. Unless you never play squads and have no MMR for squads so you're up against complete potatos, you're just going to get dumpstered 100% of the time by any squad that all speaks the same language. If you're playing against potatos, you're not pushing yourself enough to really improve and if you're playing against decent players, you're just going to get pinned down and flanked every single time. Hell, give me 3 potatos and we'll kill a top player every time by just pinning them down then rushing from roughly opposite angles or just grenading them out. are you new to video games because the vast majority of players will just try to rush a solo guy. especially when the games keep defaulting to asia for me and i forget to switch so the people are especially bad at fps.

If you’re solo squad you need to have a certain strategy. Even playing regular squad you need to make choices on when to engage and when not too, and if you’re one person you basically can’t engage full squads. You can defend yourself, you can hit-and-run, but regular engagement against decent full squad is suicidal.

Has anyone else been getting sound cutting out over Bluetooth lately? I’m having a ton of trouble with it. YouTube and everything else is fine. I just reinstalled Windows so I haven’t had a chance to try another game yet. I’ll see if the headphones do the same thing over 3.5mm.
