ROH announced a Womens Title (finally).

And that they'll be partnering with STARDOM for a tournament to crown the first champ (Mayu was at Final Battle). It probably won't be a STARDOM talent though. She'll probably end up jobbing to Brandi or Mandy. :negative:

Just a heads up, STARDOM has several major shows/appearances coming up soon. I am listing the most important dates. All dates listed are Japanese time unless stated otherwise. Figured this would be a useful reference if anyone here is traveling to Japan for WK or whatever. Or is just curious about the future of STARDOM in general.

- 12/24/17: Yoko Bito's retirement show. It also has Io Shirai defending the Wonder of Stardom championship (White Belt) against HZK, which should be a good match.

- 1/3/18: Kicks off the New Year. Nothing (as far as I know) has been announced for the card yet.

- 1/4/18: Io Shirai has a book signing/autograph session near the Tokyo Dome, before Wrestle Kingdom. Expect a lot of weirdos there, as the session is meant to celebrate her new gravure photoshoot/book release. Also it will cost money to get stuff signed and meet her.

- 1/5/18: One of their biggest shows of the year. Again, card TBA.

- 1/24/18: Joint show with ROH/WOH in Nashville, TN. Also the start of the Women of Honor tournament to crown the first ever WOH champion. I am not optimistic personally.

In general, December to January is huge for japanese promotions. Most of the indies will do one huge show for their end of the year and maybe followup with another big one for the new year.

Yup. Which is why I expect several STARDOM titles to change hands. If I had to hazard a guess, I would say Io will probably drop the white belt and the trios title, and go after the red belt again, or the SWA title. Toni has held onto the SWA title for an absurdly long time, now that I think about it (515 days as of this post).

I doubt it, Alexander Wolfe and Axel Dieter Jr. showed up with the rest of Ringkampf in wXw and Kassius Ohno was lingering in the background of a DDT show. WWE seem to be in a festive mood wrt letting NXT guys do stuff at the moment.

They announced Toni Storm vs. Meiko Satomura at the Stardom show tonight btw.

Yeah I'm still a bit wary, because I don't think wXw is televised. STARDOM has a TV deal in Japan. WWE generally has zero tolerance for that kind of stuff.

Who knows if that even makes tv. It's could be the same deal with other promotions where it's for the live crowd only

It's a pretty good show up and down, really. They do a good job making everyone seem good (even Jetta looks entertaining as she jobs). Decent production for the most part, too, and the commentary is good for hyping all the matches.

I'm definitely interested in their stuff now.

Yup. Also known as the talent that will most likely be jobbed out to Mandy or Kelly. I have absolutely zero faith in this tournament.

Speaking of STARDOM, they have announced Tam Nakano and Mayu will be returning to action on January 21st. On top of that, they announced their main event for their biggest show of the year.

Queens Quest (Io Shirai, Viper, HZK, AZM, Momo) vs Oedo Tai (Kris Wolf, Kagetsu, Hana Kimura, Sumire Natsu, and Tam Nakano) in a 5 on 5 elimination match. However, there is an important stipulation in place. The last person to get pinned must leave the faction they are in.

So that means if its down to Io Shirai and Kagetsu, and Io gets pinned, she must leave Queen's Quest. Likewise, if Kagetsu gets pinned, she must leave Oedo Tai. It'll probably end up being someone like Sumire or Viper who eats the final pin.

Watched the RISE 6.5 match of Toni Storm vs. Shotzi Blackheart on stadom world. Are RISE matches usually like that? Crowd wasn't really into it, the lady commentator (who I didn't know was Madusa at first) had mic problems and sorta half assed the commentary, and it just sorta ended.

Shotzi, bless her heart, is not very good right now. She will be good because she's wrestling almost a fulltime schedule against a variety of people.

Has she really been billed as Joey Ryan's Penis?
