Honestly I actually like Rex's outfit when he's in full salvager mode. If he just like popped off his helmet instead of ripping out half the outfit while walking around it'd be pretty cool.

Was kind of wondering actually. What happens when a driver tries to go into combat with more than one blade engaged. Like was it ever stated that there's a rule against all 3 blades popping out at once and feeding their driver the ether lines? Also I know it's because it's a game but if say, Nia falls in combat but doesn't die would Dromarch be able to run over to Rex and start supporting him? I'm kinda curious as to what those rules are.

Blades can only directly support their drivers though they cam also fight on their own. They just aren't as powerful as they are with a driver? Probably. The blade/driver relationship seemed kind of weird for a game like this, since it seems like the blade has absolutely no obligation to follow the driver, and seem capable of functioning entirely on their own.

This is one of the things I meant when I mentioned missed world-building opportunities. Admittedly, I'm only about halfway into the game so far, but it feels like there are a lot more stories they could be telling in this world they've created. You have entire empires established on the backs of enormous, sentient, moving creatures, and immortal beings that spring out of rocks to follow you around and provide you with weapons, but instead we get a generic story about an orphan boy who finds an ancient power and uses it to have Dragon Ball-style fights with bad guys. The Ardainian–Gormotti conflict is a good start (our titan is dying and causing global (local?) warming, so we need to take over another titan), but there's so much more they could be doing with the setting. 404notfound fucked around with this message at 22:42 on Jan 3, 2018 |

I think this is a case where trying to make internally cpnsistent explanations would make the whole thing fall apart, so it's better not to. The effectively immortal beings not having the implicit task of being a historical record is a neat wrinkle, though.

Yeah considering the entirety of Xenosaga called her Kos-Mos not pronounced like cosmos, it would certainly seem like how you would pronounce that name. The Japanese version of XBC2 pronounces it not-cosmos too. But I'm sure the English dub is fine though

So I'm running with Rex, Nia, and Four with three-ATK, three-HLR, and three-TNK. It's effective, but rather bland... Without getting too gimmicky, what are some ways to mix it up? Has somebody tried running with ATK/HLR/TNK on every character?

Both her and Zeke (despite his goofiness) remain obviously more mature and experienced than Rex (and strangely Nia, despite the fact she should be older).

I have to imagine that the weird cadences in the English voice acting were deliberate choices based on how characters' mouths were moving, because the Heart to Heart convos all sound markedly better than the story stuff. I completed the Praxis/Theory questline and the boss at the end totally kicked my rear end; I probably should have equipped spike defense accessories on everyone. Putting 3 healers on Nia and one on Zeke worked well enough on the third try, though. Worth it, because now I have five levels of Nopon Wisdom, so I can finally open all those chests and doors on Argentum

I doubt that, because they completely ignored remotely matching the scene in Zeke's introduction. Which leaves me to believe it was one of those blind dubs, where most of it is reliant on the voice director. I'd be surprised if the VA's saw scenes half the time while recording.
