I went nuts and got all the orbs off the TT the first week in an unsuccessful attempt to get Christmas Tharja and I've been just idly dropping stamina on it when bored the entire rest of the time. I tend to hover around rank 2000 and I haven't needed to drop stamina potions since the initial burst. Autobattle is a hell of a drug.

Spending stamina pots on TT gives you more orbs to give you more chances to get 5*'s. But that in turn makes you spend even more stamina on leveling them. What a vicious cycle. I just got an Airzura. Just in time for the Voting Gauntlet to end. I'm on team Lissa anyway, so it's not like it would have mattered if I got her earlier.

Even though Lissa is very fun and cool and good she's just not really all that popular an Awakening character, of all the Awakening dudes in the gauntlet she's probably the last choice for most people. And while Azura is not just bland but also pretty badly written she's a very important and central character in a fairly popular game, so people who enjoyed Fates would probably vote for her by the final round if not only for characterisation but also "hey she played a big role in the game I liked. She's pretty cool."

I think a lot of people just pick the mechanically best character in this game and/or the one they have (which is likelier to be the mechanically best character) E: like I bet Reinhardt would do decently in a VG, although I'm not sure he'd win because he doesn't have boobs

Honestly, popularity doesn't have much to do with who wins gauntlets any more. It's all about when the multiplier hits. But yeah. Azura is the worst, and her winning sucks.

I'll always like Azura just for the end of Conquest where (spoilers?) The nohr siblings, who are all being attacked by their crazy slime dad with his slime hand axe while he says he'll kill them, says they can't possibly kill their father and Azura is just WHAT That, followed by her just doing her song that will erase her for existence without telling any of her incredibly stupid extended family, is very good. i realize this is low bar to clear, but i'll take it
