I would agree that Alaska was the best for my tastes, but I've still enjoyed everything they've done. My second fav from them was probably Parallax 2.

I do think BtBaM albums of this decade are significantly less memorable than Alaska or Colors, but they’re still putting out really solid stuff. It’s just prog metal with harsh vocals now instead of really being metalcore. And some of the less memorable aspects may just be because I listen to way more music now than I did 10 years ago.

At 2:03 in that video, why does the drummer cross arms to hit cymbals on either side of him with the opposite hands? It doesn't look difficult to perform or cool at all. Most metal music videos are trash because it's just dudes playing unplugged guitars in a factory or in the woods or whatever. Whoever directed this was apparently fine with everyone in the band being static as gently caress except the singer. Man. (The newest one is excellent but it's also very weird). e: anyway I'm more excited for the 2nd half openers, Destrage is loving amazing and Good Tiger is great too
