The NWA loving rules

If Tim Storm loses to Jocephus, I might stick around for the Aldis/Jocephus title match. My necromancer informs me that Lou Thesz is currently fighting his way out of hell to kick the poo poo out of Billy Corgan.

So Billy acquired the NWA name, license, whatever in May. So 8 months later this is what he has to show for it? I know I keep reiterating the the same point but I can't process it. I just can't. You can't be a wrestling company with 3 workers. 3 workers is the bare minimum for a stable. This poo poo is making Beau James look like a competent owner. How do you fail to jump the lofty bar set up by NWA Mountain State? Please stop it Billy. Please seek help. Please renounce Alex Jones while you're at it.

I actually think there's probably some good thought in the fact that Corrigan didn't just try to create a promotion out of nothing and waste a ton of money like so many failed promotors before him. But by starting the clock with the Tim Storm stuff he probably created a short window where people will keep paying attention to NWA and giving them a chance to become something more than a couple of guys on Youtube. I keep saying it but he needs a next Phase for this and there doesn't seem to be one.

Corgan started Resistance Pro and ran like 4-5 shows before walking away.

Well, maybe he learned from his mistakes. Maybe he'll get it right on his fifth or sixth promotion.

Don't tease me by even mentioning the blessed Mountain State. Now my brain is filled with Tim Storm dream matches against The Maestro, Johnny Blast, and the best today, El Diablo. YARGH

YARGH God I miss MSW. That's the closest I've ever come to being in the business (and the closest I ever will) and that was such a fun time in this subforum. I'd go so far as to say the last genuinely beloved community-wide thing, tbh.

Anthem is that desperate?

I think you can make a case for either or both parties being desperate. I legit don't know if the empty arena thing is a dig or not.

I know Anthem doesn't sell many tickets, but calling it an Empty Arena Match is a bit much.

The quasi-TNA or TNA-adjacent promotions are: Impact GFW (whatever that is) The Crash Arolucha NWA I guess AAA and NOAH sort of A smattering of random indies where they tape sometimes

I suspect that Jeremy Borash might be working with them in some (not official) capacity. He was at their first show and, very unusually, wasn't at the Impact tapings the night that Arolucha ran against them this week.
