In less exciting news, Hakumei to Mikochi was picked up by Sentai Filmworks. It'll be on HIDIVE at least, and not Strike, so you can avoid Amazon and not have to pirate it if that matters to you. I don't know anything else about the service though, so I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

A new series showed up, High School Inari Tamamo-chan! Tamamo is a normal high school girl....with a secret. She's actually a divine messenger fox. Unbeknownst to her, she's not that good at transformation magic and while the adults see her as a normal person, all the students see her true form. Can Tamamo keep up the normal school girl act and can the students around her keep the secret that they know?

I love how she's just simply become the school's god, complete with mini shrine and offerings. They accept this as totally normal! Hakumei + Mikochi! Also, there's an anime out this season, you should watch it!

It's largely put together like a regular show, but they have these panels that come in for certain moments, usually animated but occasionally stills. I'll admit that in the first half of the episode they kind of looked like meh cost-cutting measures to me, but by the second half they seemed to have found their footing and I thought they fit the atmosphere from the manga really well. I'm hoping it was a stutter on the first half, and not just luck on the second. The overall style is a little different too, but again I think it fits great with the source material.

The other crossover, when Komi went to Suya's world, was also good. It got me to check out Komi-san , and while not really a surreal daily life manga -- it is an excellent and funny normal daily life manga!!
