I'm an ultra casual player, and a bad fighting games player, my best achievement is nailing a Zangief ultra in SFIV while staring at my opponent to taunt him (think Zoolander's Magnum), and yet this is pushing a lot of buttons for me. It's fast paced, the controls are responsive, it's not over complicated (I'm looking at you Tekken), and for an ancient SFIITurbo player as myself, I feel at home with the controls with the pleasant addition of dashes and follow-ups. As a huge Dragon Ball fan (well actually the manga, but I grew up with DB+DBZ animes), this is pure heroin, I've been waiting for this game for 30 years and boy it does not disappoint so far, regarding its presentation and love for the franchise. We already knew that, but watching in motion a Goku vs Vegeta fight give a lot of warm feelings. Now, not everything is pink clouds and marshmallows, I'm not a huge fan of the lobby itself, you should also be able to train vs CPU whenever you feel like while the game is searching for an opponent, and no 2 players VS is really a bummer for the beta. Hopefully the training thing will be available at release. I really encourage casual FG players to try this game, and DB fans as well, there might be something for you.

Want to play this some more after work. The few matches I got into were total clown fiestas due to lack of free practice mode / not knowing any moves, but I managed a few wins because the other guy doesn't know anything either. Ranked matchmaking seemed to be decently fast but I never got a match in casual for whatever reason. Never played a 3v3 fighter before, whole lot of bars to keep track of while dudes assist warp in all over the place

So I pre-ordered physical through Amazon. If I cancel that and pre-order digital through the PS Store is it safe to assume that I will be able to get early access to the open beta today? I want to punch mans.
