A few times I saw it claimed it was pretty much people grinding just below the BR sweet spots and therefore getting uptiered a lot; and in a specific case of someone I know personally it was certainly combined with a falsified image of how well they were actually performing in battle.

Ansel seems kind of pointless for WT, but you can take some absolutely gorgeous images in games like Witcher 3. At one point I was at #4 in the entire world for their weird PvP metric in CARB, and my BRs never changed. It is entirely based on the BR of the vehicle you’re in vs the BRs of the vehicles people are playing the most. Some BRs get hosed and only go up.

Is it ever possible for Germany and Britain to be on the same team? Obviously you aren't going to see it in WW2-era battles, but ~9.0 is basically NATO vs. Warsaw Pact, right?

Wow, the T25 is loving fantastic. I've been going up the American tree mostly by playing the premium M46, and noticed the T25 has the same gun, but at BR 5.7. The Pershing's gun is serviceable at 7.0, but at 5.7 it is amazing. T-34s, Panthers, and Tiger Is don't stand a chance. The only tank you regularly meet that you can't just shoot wherever and wreck with your APHE are Tiger IIs from the front. For 1.3 BR you mostly just lose a bit of mobility.

I like the tanks and am getting better. I also like the AA tanks and am getting good at it, 1 amazing game I had 5 plane kills and 2 tank kills with an Ostwind. But I'm a bit poo poo at the plane part and am having a hard time researching my planes cause I play it so little. So I end up with a BR2 bomber in my BR6 tank fights. Is there a good way to grind planes, or should I just get good and play them better?

AB battles is the most accessible way and it lets you grind multiple vehicles in one match. The flight model in CARB is the same as in RB though so YMMV.

I suppose if you have cash to flash and plenty of spare convertible RP you could just buy your way through planes but beyond that there's no real way around playing them and getting better. I suppose you could also buy premium planes that fill the role you want if available. You could try out the different modes of planes to find one you like or a good at. Elitism aside, "arcade", "Realistic" and "simulator" modes are each perfectly valid and require their own skills to master. Playing with friends/goons is also pretty helpful, especially if they know what they're doing already. If you're not already familiar with aerial combat theory and terms, it's incredibly helpful to learn and understand them. Ask lots of questions.

The good news is that even for a medicore pilot and an excellent tank player, grinding up to BR 6 planes flying airplanes takes probably less than 1/4 as long as grinding through tanks.

The M36 is the same gun, with roughly the same armor for what’s shooting at you, but you move about 15 km/h faster at all times. There’s a reason it’s one of 2 vehicles I’ve Aced the crew on.

So I was watching Phly's most recent video about the Vampire. (Which I've almost unlocked!) At one point, he landed at the airfield and respawned with rockets, which he hadn't started the match with. Can you change your plane's loadout in the middle of a match, and if so how??

Yep, just land, fully repair/re-arm, and then bail out. Don't skip that repair step because if you have any damage at all it will count as a suicide instead. it will then take you back to the spawn menu and you can adjust whatever and respawn. Note: You can do it if you had an airspawn, but it wont spawn you back in the air, it will spawn you back at the start of the runway. Works in all modes now I think. CARB used to not work but I'm pretty sure they enabled it recently.
