todrick as a judge definitely doesn't bring much aside from big smiles - but musically his contributions are way, way more interesting and fun than Lucian Piane

Yeah, I dig Todrick as a mentor during challenges but he's always been a boring judge. He's like the Paula of the table and loves everybody, but he isn't wasted so it's not funny.

Agreed on that point. Lucian's musical contributions were always... bad. And he never seemed to be having fun, even though Ru was his meal ticket.

Bob the Drag Queen going to town about Lorde and grilling Lucian about it had me fist-pumping the air and cheering at the telly

Thanks for the input! I do have Prime and typically forget it’s there so I’ll be firing up from S1. Just seeing reactions to the S2 finale makes me feel like I need to build up to it.

That's exactly it! Too on the nose. I did appreciate that it wasn't another John Water's-esque filth look though.

I think season 2 is consistently better but there are so many exceptional moments in season 1 that make it worth it.

I kind of burned out after maybe episode 3 of season 1, but maybe I should give it another chance.

Is guest judge Nancy Pelosi code for someone else? Because I just don't buy it happening. She forbade all Democrat house members from going on the Colbert Report years back.

In response to your spoilers about a guest judge from the new season of All Stars:

That might have been because a lot of conservatives were very confused by the Colbert Report, didn't understand that Colbert was actually making fun of conservatives. I'm sure she was just trying to make sure they weren't giving any fuel to dumb conservatives.

Half of them have been guest judges on the show before. Namely, the first half of that list. The rest of the list, I admit I had to google who 2 or 3 of them were. But the rest, if you don't recognize their names, you'll definitely recognize their face.

I’m just starting Dragula S1E1. I’m already floored. I’m pretty ignorant of this particular world of drag but I’m already floored. I know it’s all theatrics but simultaneously feel like it’s where I need to be. Like I want to cry.

Edit: probably because it’s interesting to see larger bodies with hair and well, uh, bear pride! Also it’s interesting to see attractive gay men (like their umbrella-holder) shot in the same fashion as exploit-y, gaze-y old monster films.

More edit: IS IT BECAUSE I ATE EVERYTHING AT CRAFT SERVICES?
