I probably would have gotten way more hype for this movie had the original been in the trailer instead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Div0iP65aZo

Yeah but if you're doing a pseudo-Western, of course you use Cash's version.

NIN and My Bloody Valentine are playing Sonic Mania Festival in August in Japan. How loving amazing would it be if Trent and Kevin Shields ever collaborated? Of course, it would literally never get finished and we'd never hear it. Marshmello's also playing this festival, and now I'm cracking the gently caress up thinking about Trent collaborating with a guy who dresses up like this and makes EDM:

The 300 trailer using Just Like You Imagined was a pretty good choice too. Although if your favorite trailer is Terminator Salvation you clearly haven’t seen the STRIKE COMMANDO trailer. Don’t bother watching the movie; the trailer has like 95% of the kills in it

I kind of suspect this guy is rich himself if he's a neighbor of Trent Reznor. I doubt Trent's just living on some double lot in a subdivision for normal people.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Trent was living here in New Orleans until a few years before Katrina and that was in 2005. Like he might've recorded part of With Teeth here but that album wasn't finalized here. e: Rageaholic fucked around with this message at 07:06 on Jan 20, 2018 |

Cash's Hurt isn't a bad impression, and the biographical context is adding an interesting layer, but it's missing the best parts of the original: the dynamics (the abrasiveness of the chorus), the noise ending the song, and Cash is almost exclusively doing minor and major triads instead of the dissonances and the pedal points of the original.

I'm not gonna pretend like I didn't completely lose my poo poo when it was released, though. It was my last year of high school (hell, I think one of my last weeks of high school) and I remember being in computer class and hearing about it and freaking the gently caress out and signing up to get the email to download it and frantically waiting to hear it. Leon Einstein posted:The Slip is great. I really don't know what parts you find forgettable. Demon Seed is amazing. Corona Radiata or whatever it's called is a little slow, but the fighting cat noises own. Lights In The Sky and Corona Radiata might as well be Ghosts tracks. I don't think they're bad tracks, they just break up the flow after Head Down. It's just weird because while other NIN albums have interlude-type tracks (especially The Fragile), they lead to something else afterwards. With The Slip, it's almost as if the interludes were placed at the end of the album and there's nowhere left to go from there. I don't know, maybe it's just personal preference too.
