They seem to have terrible range before the pellets become peas. I've fired at dudes that were very close to me only to die from return fire while they walk away with 75 health.

It depends on what shotgun you use. The pump shotguns are very dangerous for a surprising distance, the SAS, GIGN, and GSG9 shotguns in particular. The SAT's Supernova cycles pretty slowly, but hits like a truck as well. If someone walks away with a lot of health, you probably missed a good portion of pellets. There's so much utility with them too, it makes sense to pick it as your main weapon if the operator has a machine pistol secondary.

The GSG9 shotgun seems to have the best combination of range, power and refire rate. Hibana with Supernova is fun, but punishing if you miss. I occasionally go GSG9 recruit to have a 3 speed attacker with the sickest shotgun in the game.

I don't know what you guys are smoking the supernova is by far the worst pump shotgun and is possibly worse than the nerfed Benelli M4 since at least that shoots fast.

people like it since the overall update because it is less bad than it was. really all the shotguns are just good enough to care about bringing at least 1 with you unless you are running buck/sledge. and even then sledge with a shotgun is fun as heck because you can practically demolish the map i play shotguns a lot even though bothering to aim a rifle is generally objectively better in every way that isn't a breach hole and that is mostly due to ammo consumption fun loadouts: ela silenced semi auto w/grzmots is the #1 roaming ambush spec in game (sorry kapkan mains) smoke/thatcher/doc shotguns will let you use your ability through walls and ceilings you normally couldn't if bandit is taken, recruit gsg shotgun = 3 speed AND nitro mira/jackal have optional double shotguns which is extremely lol when it works also the saiga forever owns if you bother to creep around with it like anton chigurh

Attacking recruit with french shotgun + grenade and breaches is one of my go-tos if I want to mess around. Blow open the entire ceiling above them hopefully while simultaneously doming their heads. Technically Buck may fill the niche better but his shotgun is so much less satisfying.

I'm glad I didn't get affected by that bug. I bought a universal skin + charm recently and applying it to every weapon on every operator was one hell of a pain in the rear end.

I really don't like the SMB shotgun, just because it's so binary. We didn't need a railgun in the game, and fair enough being dinked in the head unavoidably is part of the game sometimes, but why enable that further? E: Also that madness with cached avatars can have legal ramifications - There's multiple countries where ownership or storage of certain imagery is illegal (not just porn either, there's plenty of weird edge cases) but perfectly fine elsewhere, so by joining an R6 game, you could end up committing an actual crime. Bravo there guys, well done.

Ubisoft is fine at developing games but they need to hire a team to fix their back end poo poo. The entirety of Uplay smacks of "we hired a contractor to build this poo poo." Now, this is all speculation, but I work an environment that attempts to coordinate many different vendors and contractors to achieve a common goal and it's a nightmare. It might not be the most cost effective solution but they need to bring that poo poo in house. Hard, am I right? Is Uplay a nightmare contraption built from the products of many different vendors?

I never cared about Assassin's Creed as I burned out after the second installment, but people seem to be really enjoying the latest one?
