Sentient Data posted:Somethingswful is the true winner of bitcoin, they never had to touch the poop but have probably made thousands from accounts and avatars and whatnot I am the true winner because thanks to all these threads I told my Dad that if he ever touched bitcoin or any crypto-currency I was going to cut off contact with him and tell my Mom to divorce him. Fortunately he doesn't have much to get scammed out of anymore and my Mom has a pension he can't touch, but over the decades my Mom estimates he's been scammed out of at least 2 million dollars. He somehow managed to fall for one of those Nigerian 419 scams in the loving 70's.

If he had invested those 10 dollars in BITCOIN instead of a Something Awful account in 2009, he would have over TEN BILLION DOLLARS right now, instead of being banned for attempts at market manipulation.
