This week's EX raid pass round was unusual here. No passes dropped at all in the usual places, only in some peripheral parts of the city and in some nearby smaller cities. I wonder if they are changing it up.

PoGo updated its OpenStreetMap data. Now that I know they will do it, I'll fix some more stuff in my hometown. There's finally a marker for a building that was put up a decade ago, and the streets running through it were finally removed.

I'd say sponsored gyms are the best bet for raid passes right now. There was a starbucks in my area that had an EX raid on 01/24 and sent out passes for another EX today. That's less than a week of eligible raids, so it looks like there's no cooldown as long as enough people battle there. I don't know if this applies to non-sponsored park gyms or not. If it's the titans though, they'll be easy enough because everyone has enough fire, water, and ground types. Obviously regice doesn't have the greatest DPS but I think it might have the best duel ranking among ice types, meaning it does the most damage before dying.

I raided the poo poo out of a Sprint Store and a Starbucks right next to each other, got the EX Pass for the Sprint location. Sponsored gyms are the primary way to go (but there were 3 EX raids issued in my area and only 1 was a sponsored gym)...

Hey folks - if your neighborhood looks like poo poo on PoGo, make updates to OpenStreetMaps and fix the gently caress-ups. I made some edits soon after the switchover, and they just showed up in the PoGo app sometime this past week. So it takes a while to update, but it will update.

I'm wondering if I should update things to show the drainage canal that is dry 99.9% of the year but gushes with water during monsoon rains. It would be nice to get a semi regular riverbank spawn nearby.

From what I've seen, once OSM updates, so long as there were spawns there to begin with, it should change them, especially since tge start of weather effects caused a ton of water spawns to appear in our other dry river beds

What effect does a park actually have? My whole town and a large area around it has been covered by the dark green "park" texture for months, I'm not sure if it dramatically affected spawns though.
