I think it's upsetting Grizz fans more because it's emblematic of the ownership/FO's approach to team building. It's also a bad look to sit the guy like he's destined to be traded and to make your fans assume that he will be traded. It's looking like the days of spending firsts on expiring vets are long gone so you can't exactly expect to get much more these days
