Yeah that was in the first episode I watched today and I liked that storyline a lot. Even Toby wasn’t too bad in it. Now I’m on the ep with Randall’s dad’s love poem which is totally going to turn out to be about the cat right?

Dimension 404 fits that. I'm not saying every episode was fantastic, but it scratched the itch.

I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way, either. I'm 2 episodes in so far and have it ranked at "good, not great" status. Is there a specific point where it makes the leap to ZOMG MUST SEE TV?

It's honestly just a steady upward climb with no dips in quality. You just eventually realize "drat, this is a well fleshed out world and I care about the stakes."

I forgot that series started. Cult stuff is fascinating to me, so I’m curious if Waco is worth a watch.

I love cult stuff but real crime stuff skeazes me out. I'm recording it but I'm really not sure if I want to watch it.

Sounds like Michael Schur or Brian Taylor would be better fits for it. You need someone with a gonzo sense of humor for that kind of thing to carry over.

There was also one where Mark Hamill played a mentally ill teen that thought a leprechaun told him his junk toys will make him a millionaire. So he gives up all his connection to his friends and family and lives the next 70 years just holding onto his toys, where they eventually become valuable at auctions.

It was almost certainly the network, they were systematically killing off every remotely interesting show before they finally came for the soup.
