The Byzantine generals problem has many solutions if you remove or even just slightly weaken ANY of the requirements. This nicely reflects that Bitcoin only solves agreement in an unreliable system a very particular case, but also is just one solution among many. A solution with so many drawbacks it probably (definitely) make sense to carefully consider your requirements because there just may be (definitely is) a better solution out there.

That site owns. Google sez: buy Bitcoin on December 17th for $19k. "If you bought Bitcoin whenever Google trends was uptrending and sold when it started to go down starting on 2017-12-17 with $100, today you would own 0.01 Bitcoin worth $63.49."

USDT doesn't need a name. They're exactly the same as dollars, so just call them dollars.

Is there a chart that shows the price in a minute by minute breakdown? The chart on bitcoin.com only shows as small as 3 month readouts but I want to show someone how the price has been rubberbanding around 8000 for the last 3 days and has been losing and regaining the same $1000-1500 about once every two hours since then.

I posted about this one earlier. It was one of the most hyped coins next to Ripple and it shot up from a fraction of a penny to $35 because it only existed on a lovely, shady exchange with no trade volume so everyone ran there to buy it up before it was later added to the more "reputable" exchanges. Once it was added to more exchanges it crashed by 70% Welp quote:crypto_buddha - Today at 6:27 PM I'll start compiling some meltdowns. I haven't checked but I know they are there. Everyone had this and on top of people having millions of them taken they crashed another 21% since the news. VictorianQueerLit fucked around with this message at 02:28 on Feb 10, 2018 |

I actually tried to compile some XRB/Nano meltdowns but they all think this is good for bitcoins and are rushing to buy more of it because it was the exchanges fault and not the coin and nobody cares about a top exchange stealing $170,000,000 if it wasn't taken directly from them. I did find this quote:https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/7whndj/i_lost_147k_nano_14_m_and_falling_in_the_bitgrail/ This guy had on paper profits of 4 million dollars at one point. quote:[–]CryptoMutantRedditor for 4 months. 43 points 2 hours ago quote:[–]jawpee1239 - 10 years account age. > 1000 comment karma. 24 points an hour ago quote:[–]ItLooksLikeFunRedditor for 2 months. 11 points an hour ago VictorianQueerLit fucked around with this message at 02:52 on Feb 10, 2018 |
