Is there a player more befitting the Jim Benning era Canucks than Nic Dowd? Traded for a player people would've actually paid to see, he wound up playing 17 minutes a night for a stretch despite having 1 point in 23 games because of his apparent good attitude. He is a UFA at the end of the year and almost certainly will not be re-signed. What a guy.

Arizona lit up Chicago 6-1. Thankfully they didn't use Richard Panik to do it. That would have been embarassing.

Playoff races looking fun. The Western Conference has 4 teams that could make that last WC spot and the Pacific is still a toss up and the East is Tampa, Boston, and Toronto......plus anyone in the Metro. SOMEONE MAKE A FREAKING MOVE ALREADY!!!!!!!! Pens have stabilized somewhat, unfortunately they've had Reaves in the line up the last few games because of injuries I guess. If they could pick another depth piece or two to displace him from the lineup that would be great.

Speaking of guys we're surprised that are still in the NHL, who keeps giving Korbinian Holzer contracts? Dude could barely crack the Leafs' roster when it prominently featured such fine defensemen as Roman Polak, Stephane Robidas and TJ Brennan.

His name is cool, give him a league minimum contract in case we need to save the fifth element.

Subbans only real value was his name, so getting Dowd was probably about right. Now, Eriksson OTOH....

Barry loving Trotz. https://twitter.com/ikhurshudyan/st...innipeg-jets%2F The man never met a rookie he didn't jerk around. I wonder what stat encompasses arena specific good play vs actually being good at hockey. p.s. Chiasson sucks in every arena, he's a thoroughly mediocre hockey man.

Nashville definitely is all in on Rick Nash. The question is if they can outbid a large field. They already dealt Sam Girard, Vladislav Kamenev and their second-round pick in the Kyle Turris deal, so how deep are they willing to go? A first-rounder that might be 27th or lower won’t do it. They’ve still got excellent prospects (Dante Fabbro and Eeli Tolvanen atop the list) and no doubt the Rangers will try to leverage from those.
