Conspiracy theory: those deleted most ignored accounts went on to establish some sort of fame or importance elsewhere and didn't want their post history to ever be exposed or attached to their real identity. If I had to guess, I'd say that the amount of users who put them on ignore suggests that they probably took their bad post writing professional. In which case, they are now likely paid opinion writers/havers. Alternatively, they are posters that went on to commit crimes, and the admin don't want people to see that they had a user the community seemed to know was awful but chose to ignore rather than report to the appropriate authorities.
