i too love posting in this thread, i am glad there's a nice corner where we can all TOUCH THE FASHION this season so far has been a really good one too. I'd consider myself generally funny, but I can't tell a joke to save my life. totally, totally agree. i think a lot of the time the queens can sell a bit like nothing else, but the joke construction elements of it are way harder. generally i think the safe route for a non-comedy queen stuck in a stand-up challenge, is to invent a very different character from their usual persona. it at least frames the content, usually shows a side of the queen that's different, and gets a few easy laughs at potential caricatures. at the very least, they'll cruise to safety.

Im sad to see Chi Chi go but she has nothing to worry about. Im really proud of her attitude. Shangelas GoT routine doesnt bother me because its a way to explain the drama of the show to people new to Drag Race and it also lampshades to whole reality show gestalt. Frankly her winning the season would be a hilarious bookend to the S3 mystery box. Bens and Shangelas LSFYL outfits and performance were cute.

I think that Trixie's biggest misstep was keeping the Ru Paul head movements as part of the impersonation. It works when that time is filled with Katya cackling at your jokes, not so much when that time is filled with the shade noises. Either way not a great impersonation. Ben ran away with this challenge and unless something happens fast it's gonna come down to her and Shangela. Which I don't mind because I love Shangela.

God drat, that was a roller coaster episode. Only thing I predicted was the double win. Otherwise, my heart was pumping in suspense. That lipstick reveal though. Shangela knows how loving good she is at causing reality show drama. If she wins the crown over Ben, it'll be her ability to make good TV that pushes her over the top for Ru. Also, I just wanna hug Chi Chi all the time.

God dammit Chi Chi, you didn't even prepare an answer for the caged bird question?! Ugh. I love her, but it's like she just walked straight off season 8. Better outfits but like, zero refinement. Shangela - I'm nitpicking but there's something a little too safe about impersonating someone you've worked for for years. I'm glad she made top 2 though because that lipsync was A+ Aja as Crystal was a perfect choice. Her general rudemption has been so great to watch

Trixie's RuPaul is great ... in the context of her heavily edited internet show. I love Trixie but I have never thought she was Drag Race material in the winning sense. I hoped she would surprise me but she is just kind of in the background. Like on her first season. Ben is loving killing it, and I love Shangela rolling through with a fierce season 3-as-hell attitude. It's their season and imo Aja's not too far behind, either. Is next week this the first time All Stars has had a sewing challenge? Because lol ... poor Shangela. Ben can make an outfit. Ben won a sewing challenge with a glue gun on her season. Aja should be good, too.

I'm channeling RuPaul's business acumen and I'm going to manipulate Shangela into eliminating Ben but then being avenged by the past queens. I am making drama tv. That being said the rest of the episodes need to be Shangela vs Dela because I am tuned out to everyone else. p.s. Trixie I love you but when other queens start getting meta in the talking heads, you aren't moving quickly enough.

Bendela's pitching a loving no-hitter. Jesus. Shangela's elimination speech was some COLD rear end poo poo. I'm finding myself really looking forward to Aja's screen time. I want to be her Santera buddy real bad. Poor Trixie. That's the kind of thing where you're going about your business years later and then your brain decides to replay the memory out of nowhere and you want to drive straight into oncoming traffic. This show is not her venue, at all.
