Edit: wait do we actually think that clip is cheating because it doesnt look like it to me. Looks like an overcorrection followed by a semi accidental kill and a purposefull kill. I'd ignore him and he'd hit me with the "you there, bud?" and I'd say "yeah still here". my entire team was boss, we were all mic chatting saying we can't lose to these fuckers and the positivity was just wholesome as hell. on rounds we'd lose, we'd all sorta pat each other on the back and say not to worry and we'll get em next time. then at the end, the toxic guy has a complete meltdown and gets so mad, and me and my entire team are just being chill and saying "gg wp, close game".

if anything, siege has gotten better with time. it's an old game, but it's aged really, really well. it's barely recognizable from the game it was at launch (which in this case is a really good thing). no game out there nails sound design like R6 does, and the evolving gameplay is what keeps me coming back. there's always a different way to play a round.

yeah but it's just tough for me to pull the trigger on spending $40+ for a game that came out over two years ago regardless of what people say about it. i generally shop for older games because they are typically heavily discounted. what i'm saying is, the free weekend is a pretty brilliant way to market the game.

the thing that kills old games is multiplayer activity the fact that the game isn't  yet should give you an idea of how many people are still playing while ubi will often straight up give away older major titles for free in hopes that players will ever even look at uplay

Free weekend is the standard edition rate. Note that you can't be cute and buy ops at standard price during the weekend then buy the starter, that edition removes the ops you bought. Buying any other edition lets you keep them of course.

To sort of reiterate again what everyone is saying. Don't get the starter edition. No joke the grind is really really hideous and I can't imagine the frustration later if you want to actually play unique operators, you know a sort of key element of the whole game. It is basically a trap and there are very few cases where it makes any sense. The standard basically makes it easy to unlock all the year 1 OPs in a reasonable amount of time.

I had the Starter Edition, bought a pass and still had to pay 12,500 for base ops (I just bought the Attacker/Defender bundles).

If you somehow buy Starter Edition like a dumbass you will still able to buy all original operators via a real money bundle and that'll end up costing you as much as a non-discounted Standard edition. So it's not the end of the world but you should still buy Standard edition.

Before we get siege 2 first every operator needs a 20$ elite skin, at least 10 of the cosmetic bundles that you can only buy with real money and not in game credits, and they need to sell more Season Passes on top of that, and now that I mention it the sales on the 20$ operator bundles are doing alright but we should be getting people to buy more 7 Day Renown Boosters and R6 Credit packs so they can run that treadmill a bit longer. Oh and the ugliest cosmetics cost an insane amount of renown, like 22k or some poo poo for a Skull Rain helmet, which is good. I also like that half the skins you get from Alpha Packs are ugly floral patterns. Also RIP anyone dumb enough to buy Alpha Pack bundles And they gotta make a different loot pool with rad, get'em before they're gone cosmetics and make them like a slot machine, but it's cool because it will only take 100$ of your money
