I think cowboy's miles are going to catch up to him and he's going to go maybe 1-2 at LW before hanging them up, though. Warhorses can't fight forever. He would still completely destroy Sage Northcutt, though.

I think Cowboy realizes his 170 train is derailed and there's no real path to a title for him there whereas he has the potential to come down to 155 and make a 2-3 fight run at the title.

Even against Medeiros he looked hittable as hell, it's just that Yancy was so much more hittable.

He's always been hittable especially early on, but the guys at 170 hit a hell of a lot harder than the ones at 155. He's always said he needs to get hit a few times to wake up and really get into the game. But I do think he definitely ate a bunch of shots against Yancy that he didn't need to.

He seemed to be tidying that up. The Cote fight especially, he showed a much better ability to gameplan and nullify offence. But then, two fights later he and Brown just took turns belting each other.

I still say give him a fight he can probably win at 55 before one that he will probably lose. Chiesa, Dariush, and Iaquinta are all good choices, and I don't see any of those being bad.

Can he even get down to 155 (without dying)? He's one of the 'make weight at any cost' maniacs, but isn't it supposed to get harder to cut weight as you age? He's been at 170 for a while and he's no spring chicken anymore.

UFC has been trash for a while, but this summer should have fights like Stipe vs Cormier, Mighty Mouse vs Dillashaw, and Conor is going to fight somebody. If it's for the LW belt who knows, probably not, but he'll fight somebody.

Which isn't something I'm all that interested in from a competition point of view, but whatever. The spectacle will be fun at least.

Giblert Burns was too fat so he's not allowed to fight on Saturday and his fight with Olivier Aubin-Mercier has been scratched. O A-M will get a new opponent on an upcoming card.
