I'd have to hold him in a very firm hug while my wife delivered the medication. The little loaf is surprisingly strong when he has escape on his mind. Little dogs have more wiggle room () when it comes to being unruly little shits. Big dogs tend to be obedient dogs (when properly kept, of course) because of natural selection: the humans who bred disobedient large dogs tended not to survive to continue breeding dogs.

See: dogs, cats. The foxes we've domesticated are cute, but totally different creatures from wild ones. So it's not really a valid way to preserve a wild species and keep it healthy and independent. See: dogs, cats. Maybe so, but at least there would be something of them left(heck look at Axolotols, they're almost completely extinct in the wild but there's more of them in captivity and the pet trade than ever lived in the wild), and honestly I doubt any new domesticate we create would become anywhere near popular enough for that to be a problem But then I've never really felt that anything involving non-human genetic engineering could ever really be even remotely immoral unless it directly leads to suffering(and even that has exceptions), partly because I feel that while it is man's God given responsibility to maintain the environment and all that inhabits it to the best of it's capabilities, in the end humanity should and indeed must exploit any and all resources it can that doesn't violate that first part

Oh I'm fine with genetic engineering, I would love a domesticated cheetah, although probably it would cause huge problems and lots of accidents. I'm just saying it wouldn't be the same thing. Eventually it would be totally distinct. And while popularity might not lead to it, time will.

Probably wouldn't be worse than many of the larger and/or aggressive dog breeds, after all Cheetahs don't have particularly sharp claws, and while they do have sharper teeth than dogs, I do believe there's not much difference in bite strength between them Indeed I don't think I've ever really heard of any major incidents involving Cheetah on Human violence

They can hurt you even as little creatures. Their play is rough and they get excited. Hand maulings are common. This behavior follows through to big cats, which is why it's a terrible idea to own them in general. Because it scales up. Even the domesticated servals hurt people without meaning to. They destroy furniture and can slice you up in their play, and need to constantly exercise on big exercise wheels just to be comfortable. They're not reccomended to be around children because it's so common for them to hurt kids play-hunting them. They're difficult animals not everyone should own. And that's a MINI cheetah. Imagine a big one. That's pretty much why we've never domesticated any of the big cats, they are not like dogs in how they domesticate.
