Don't let it get you down bud. As long as you can balance a checkbook and know your basic shapes and colors, you'll be the smartest guy on this comedy forum.

Cavemen were just as smart as people, you could take them into the present and they would figure poo poo out pretty quickly. People are biologically the same as they were 100,000 years ago, it's not like anybody today is better equipped to understand a cupcake than anyone from the past.

If you gave a caveman an IQ test they would get zero because they hadn't invented a written alphabet yet.

That doesn't mean that someone with an IQ of 1 is infinitely smarter than a caveman.

That's a little too far back. People were anatomically the same back then, but (as far as we can tell from archaeological evidence), something changed between 50-80,000 years ago that gave rise to cognitively modern humans. Wikipedia's article on behavioral modernity gives a lot more detail.

On the internet, nobody knows you're a dog.

Johnny Hart had 2 comic strips: Wizard of Id and B.C.

B.C. , the caveman-focused comic strip explicitly named Before Christ would often feature Evangelical Christian messages, where the cavemen talk about the greatness of Jesus who won't be born for 1000s of years.

Meanwhile, Wizard of Id set in Medieval Europe when Christianity was at the center of public life almost never mentioned religion or Jesus.

B.C. takes place in a post-apocalyptic future.

B.C. from the 60s to the 80s was pretty funny for a daily strip, and seldom had christian stuff. He started to change in the 80s, and then 9/11 completely broke his brain and turned him into the evangelical islamophobe he is remembered as.

I tried to find some of his old strips on the internet, but all I can find are the crazy christian ones. You'll have to take my word for it.

That’s the weirdest little cameo—I think those two guys who found the books are Hart’s nod to cartoonist Sergio Aragonés (mustache) and his character Groo the Wanderer (jacked-up nose).
