I was also tuned by Adam at Tune+. Tuned for 25,000 miles most of which was running E30 mixing it with a calculator. Never had a single issue and he was always really quick to correct or tweak something if I didn't like it. I really should have dyno'd mine before I traded it, drat thing was fast. I miss it now thanks mustang thread.

4V 4.6 + X Pipe + Magnaflow catback = best sounding V8 ever made.

uggg, I bought a new radio for my Stang, a Pioneer AVH2300-NEX from Sonic Electronix. it came with the Scosche FDK9B wiring harness. My previous radio a Kenwood KDC-BT838U. came with the Metra 70-5701 Harness from Crutchfield. everything about it worked fine. the Metra and the Scosche harnesses are 100% identical except the amplifier harness has its wires in a totally different position. WTF??? the BLUE/WHITE power lines are on the left side on one model, and right side on the other model? I dont really know car audio so I am kinda stuck. do I wire in the Scosche as is? do I repin the wires so the Scosche looks like the Metra, but minus the RCA? Should i just recycle the metra harness from the previous build? I just dont understand how every single wire is different from one brand to the next. I really dont want to pay someone to make a wire harness. but i dont want to F it up either.

Most car audio shops charge like 50$ to slap a radio in in a professional manner. If these pics are too much, it’s a great option. You wait and drink coffee and watch them do it.

I love this: Stormcar ALUMINUM RACING SHORT THROW SHIFTER FOR 83-04 FORD MUSTANG T5 T-45 W/OD silver $18.80 For when you're sick of missing 2-3 and just want the shifter to snap off instead.

Do you guys find the shifter to be uncomfortably far forward in those cars? Maybe it's just how it looks crammed under the console in the New Edge.

kimbo305 posted:Do you guys find the shifter to be uncomfortably far forward in those cars? Maybe it's just how it looks crammed under the console in the New Edge. One of the very first suggestions I got as to what I should modify is a short shifter. I've owned the car for (nearly) 6 years, and I still don't think it would be better with a short shifter. But it does look like the weirdest friggin' thing.

My seats all the way back and I do lean forward just slightly to shift, I could do it without leaning but then I'd be stretching my arm too much. This could be because I've used nothing but short shifters in my mustangs, but from what I'd read the stock throw is long and sloppy. edit: now Im just sitting here staring at my interior wishing I could do something besides honk the horn and make vroom vroom noises Cage fucked around with this message at 05:55 on Mar 13, 2018 |

Its fairly far forward, but still falls into your palm nicely. I never had objections with it with my SN96, but it was also my first real car.

The shifter in the 94-04's are defintely too far. The shifter should be pulled back to where the cup holder is. Also, this is my new mod, Maximum's 300lb front coil over kit!

I saw an S550 yesterday with P Zero’s just like mine but the brand lettering was white. Anyone know what model those are? I’m a sucker for white lettering on a tire. I don’t know if it’s tacky and daggum I don’t care. E: ew is it just stickers? Rolo fucked around with this message at 17:31 on Mar 13, 2018 |

Cage posted:Ever figure out your radio? I'd post in the car audio thread if you're still having issues. I think I am just going to solder in the metra harness. I know it works with my previous wire setup. IDK what Scosche is doing with its harness. but yea, I think I will check out the car av group, and see what they say. Rolo posted:I saw an S550 yesterday with P Zeros just like mine but the brand lettering was white. Anyone know what model those are? I would get tire/lettering paint pen, and color in the text on your tires (or even just outline them), if thats how you want to roll. Buy double the amount of pens you think you will need though. you will be doing touch ups ALL THE TIME. White or lighter colors will fade to brown as you pick up dirt and brake dust. Rubber is flexible, so over time, the painted letters will crack as you constantly drive on them.

I'm fine with the shifter location in my 01, but I also sit pretty far forward except when I'm wearing winter boots. I wish the cup holder was offset. Any large cup with a straw in the middle of the lid is always in the way. Kwik Trip has straw holes towards the edge so I'm able to get my arm to one side of the straw.

Update with my radio harness, I went to my local audio place and asked if they could do my harness for me. I explained I ripped everything out, and I just needed help wiring the harnesses together. I could tell the guy didn't want to help me and he just said $350. I ended up doing it myself. Sirius, Bluetooth, Android Auto, Mic, Radio, Speakers and Sub, etc all check out so I am good. I soldered all the connections together, and terminated wires I was not using and wrapped everything with electrical tape. It definitely does not look pro. If I feel like redoing it I may buy a new harness and try to tidy everything up.

Cage posted:your resale value. Actually... funny story... When I bought the car, I never turned on the stock radio. I waited a few weeks and paid an installer to install CD player that could read MP3 Data CDs. I put the radio in the garage, and some time shortly after, my dad was cleaning the garage and I think he threw it away. honestly I have no idea whatever happened to my radio. all I know is it happened about 19 years ago. uggg mp3's where a BIG thing 19 years ago. If you know someone with access to the forscan tool you can enable line lock through software. Not sure if it's still there on the 2018+ but 15-17 they just never enabled it on the ecoboosts.

Man I really miss my Ecoboost lol. Also the line lock is a lie. I have Forscan and I've gotten really good at navigating the command blocks ( I use it on my F150) and there was no way to add line lock on my '15 ecoboost.
