I doubt you subscribe to it but Jason Stoddard mentioned that it needs about 72 hours to stabilize. The Gungnir MB I tried changed sound for about three days. Then it had much subtler changes for a week. (Subjective impressions).

Any one who hasn't paid for the item themselves or relies on advertising will have an intrinsic bias for an item. It is human nature. Some are more obvious about their shilling (unbox therapy or IGN) than others. There are a few exceptions but never trust any random review.

The fact that they've branched out into selling 200 dollar subs and 100 dollar bookshelves doesn't exactly instill me with confidence but at the same time I've never heard or read anything that would make me doubt that they still make quality electronics.
