Eh, those 4 are hardly worth caring about imo. Particularly compared to the Crows outs - Lynch, Smith, Crouch, Walker (and Lever if you want to compare yoy). Merrett out early clearly hurts, but the Crows also were a player down for at least the last quarter and I think the later start to the preseason that grand finalists have hurts teams a lot more than is generally accepted. (Random aside: I'd be interested to see if any of our stats gurus could work something out to test that theory?) I'm not saying it's not a good win, just that I don't think it's a good as it potentially appears.

Carlton are not going to be a half decent side this year. They caught a rusty Richmond off guard and had a totally dysfunctional backline. Round 1 is often filled with weird results when viewed in context of the greater season, don't get excited about them. Bombers could be alright though.
